I don't think it will be the last but I'm not immediately going back to it. Besides The Mad Mick, I'm working on a third book in the Locker Nine series right now.

We submitted the audio files over two weeks ago and Audible doesn't provide us with a release date. They say 10-21 days. The norm has been ten business days lately so we thought yesterday but that didn't happen. Should be this week, though.

Great news. Thanks for the info. I just had to buy a new ipod with the highest amount of ram because I filled the old one up with all of your books and Chris's.

The Mad Mick is up on Audible. Downloaded it this AM.

Someone asked if "Switched On" will be the last book in that series, when I finished that audio book it said there would be another book coming in that series.

Surprised me as well. I just finished the first one when I got the e-mail that the second book dropped. Just started the second one via Audibe. About an hour in and I like it so far. Franklin Horton has turned into an excellent author IMHO.

I appreciate you guys for sticking with me and still reading my books. I don't post a lot of updates here because I don't want to be spammy. Definitely follow my mailing list if you want to keep up with the releases. I don't share any info. It's just book stuff, events I'm going to, and things like that.

For anyone interested, I'm trying to finish the 3rd Locker Nine book for an April release. After that I'm going back to the original Borrowed World series to add another one to that. It will be the 7th.

The goal is 5 books this year if I can pull it off. That's while working full-time, raising two teenagers, and trying to keep the homeplace from getting swallowed by woods.

Book 3 in the Locker Nine series is out on audiobook. It's called Compound Fracture. I haven't listened to it yet but will in a week or two.

I finished Compound Fracture last night. I was a good read/listen. The only problem I found with it was when it talked about law enforcement getting their automatic weapons from the military procurement program. Law enforcement agencies get their select fire weapons by buying them from the manufacturers. I know the Navy gave about every agency that wanted them old Thompsons but that was pre 1950's. I was the DRMO (procurement) officer for a large Sheriff's Office. The weapons that were offered when I had that job were old shot out M-16s that no one wanted. I did get a cool Admirals yacht for our SAR team though.

Other then that it is a worthwhile read.

Gorn I may have misunderstood but my local Sheriff's Department told me all of their select-fire weapons, other than a single MP5, came through that program. They were indeed old, beat-up M16s. This department doesn't have a significant budget.

After I inspected what the military had to offer on weapons. We passed. The repair cost was higher then it cost us to buy new stuff. Most of it was just plain dangerous.

Keep up the good work and I'll keep buying it. I like your stories.
