That would fit nicely between a woodgas car and a b/w television. I'm used to a little bit newer stuff lately

...when I get home I might fire up a PowerMac G4 or G5... or even an iBook G3 just for fun.

What sites are you hitting, that IE6 will even be allowed to open a page?

My every day is a Lenovo Yoga convertible with 8Gb of RAM, Win 10 Pro, i7 CPU. I rarely use it as a tablet, it's too big for that. Also have an older AMD machine with Win7, and a few other boxes running various versions of Linux, often dual booted with a Windows of some flavor, plus a Surface RT running a stupid version of Win8 (can't be upgraded, so I got it cheap) and an old Acer netbook running Ubuntu. One old decrepit Macbook, obsolete everything on it, and a brand new non-Pro iPad.

Yep, I upgraded mine to 256 K ram, (might have been just 128k) added a second 3.5 floppy and a 5.25 external.
The upgrade to 256 (or 128) cost me like 300 bucks as I recall.
I played red storm rising, some final fantasy I think, flew some stealth air planes.

I dunno. My son puts them together with bits and pieces. Seriously. He makes ones these days that are about the size of a deck of cards that do the same or better than the big tower ones. The one in the living room lives in an old cashew can and you can tell it to turn the lights and Tv on and off. Weird.

Yes, he calls the little ones Raspberry pi. He says there are other pies as well, like blueberry. It all goes right over my head.

The 128D was my second computer. Other than the disk swaps, the GEOS operating system was a decade ahead of anything Microsoft offered. When I upgraded to Microsoft in the mid 90s, it was frustrating not having full mouse functionality and lack of integration among programs.

Today I have a 4 year old Dell with win 10 and I am happy. I use my iPad for stuff like this forum.

MacBook Pro Retina 15". 16GB RAM. I got it to do iOS development work. It's over a year old now, still haven't been able to slow it down. I usually keep laptops for 3-4 years. You can stretch out a Mac a bit longer on average but since I do work with computers I can write part of them off when I buy a new one. Or at least I have been able to in the past!

A watercooled AMD FX-9370 with 16GB/ram. Two 27" Samsung monitors with a NVIDIA GTX 580 video card. Samsung 850 series SSD for the OS (WIN7) and two 4TB western digital black hard drives. I would like to get a Ryzen but they will not work with Win7. Don't like Win10 so I guess I am stuck with it.
