What is needed is for friends and neighbors to stand together against abuse by the government. Just take a stand. Protest in the streets. Stand together when government agents come for your guns or your property or your rights in a show of solidarity and let the government choose the next steps as was done in Nevada recently with the Bundys. If we could even get our more conservative-minded state legislatures to stand up to the Federal Government in similar ways as have states like California. We just want to stand up that way for the Constitution instead of standing up against the Constitution. Pass laws supporting constitutional principles and demand that state government follows the Constitution - there's enough to be done locally in that regard alone to keep us from fighting the Feds for decades to come.

We want to protest the actions and even stand up against the actions of government but we do not want to overturn our government; what we get next would not be created with the same wisdom and insight that our Founders used.
sir, thank you for your well thought out and respectful post, i appreciate that in the face of some few posters here that do not meet that standard. i totally agree, i do not want to see the people rising up against the government unless, at the bitterest of ends thats the very last straw.

i do and have done everything i can to improve what i can with my small amount of influence, ie: member of the NRA, i vote, i pay my taxes (more than most for about 17 years during the 2000's as a small business owner), i donate money (not much as im partially disabled, but still work full time and take no government assistance), i teach my kids the truth about history and government and try to talk with those that havent had the truths of the world presented to them.

i agree, lets do all we can through the courts, lawfully, political, through activism, and hearts and minds before we go to extremes..... but if all that should fail, ill do what i can with the help and guidance of those that wore the uniform.

peace on you and yours sir! and thank you!

Well, it's in the Declaration of Independence and other writings of the Founders. It may very well come to that.

Our revolution was an anomaly. In history, it's the only one, or at least one of very few, that resulted in more liberty rather than less liberty.

It would be fantastic, historically and literally, if we could restore our liberty without a second revolution. That would truly prove the greatness of our Constitution.

the 2A was the Founders and Framers "line in the sand" against future tyranny.

The Left wants to slowly, over decades, whittle it to nothing, and the Right keeps playing right along.

What we are witnessing now is the population of conservative, law-abiding gun owners, looking at the Right and realizing they aren't really as opposed to a diminished 2A as we are.

This is dangerous.

... the sooner we get this party started, the sooner it's over with.
