There's a lot of truth in that statement.
Trump's personality is distasteful to me, but his statements aren't.
When he said he'd build a big wall on our southern border, and make Mexico pay for it.... I got a little happy!
He's also very pro 2A, can't fault that.

The more he talks (and he talks a lot...), the more I am liking what I hear. But... the way he says it is annoying.
I know, I know, substance over style... but the electorate is stupid, and they'll vote for the most telegenic. Been that way since Kennedy. I don't know how well he plays in the midwest.

He has enough money to not care, though. I really like that.
He's a big maybe. I can't believe I'm saying that...

Besides his business background, here is my main reason I'd vote for Trump:

He's not a career politician.

He does not have to pull his punches and keep the flames off the bridges. Unlike career politicians who have to go back to "work" as a politician should they loose the race, Trump couldn't care less. He loses the race, he goes back to doing whatever billionaires do.

Put another way...he has nothing to hold him back from being totally and brutally honest and hammer the **** out of the other candidates. Including Hillary Clinton.

He had no other qualifications. Even his brief Senate stay was void of substance. As is the man.
Trump, for all his warts, is not void of substance.

Typically, we have elected people based on their accomplishments. But with Obama we turned that on it's head too...
Perhaps we can get back to electing people based on their resume, and not just the demographic box they check on the application.

He did take a personal hit the first time around: he’d financed the construction of the Trump Taj Mahal with junk bonds and was unable to pay the high interest. His business was in the red, and so was he, to the tune of about $900 million in personal debt. By the mid-90s, he’d reduced most of that debt, selling his Trump Princess yacht, his Trump Shuttle airline, and his stake in a handful of other businesses. More importantly, he stopped guaranteeing debt with his own wealth.

Well...he can't be any worse than we have now. I do think he would be great in trade deals around the world. He insist we are being screwed over and we have become the whipping-boy for China and others. Maybe we need a seasoned business head for once.

If he's the nominee, he's got by vote!

Trump would be a lot worse yes.

So would Mitt -- he would also be a lot worse.

So would McCain -- he would also have been a lot worse.

Lots of Senators have become president as well --

- BHO

- Nixon

- JFK

- etc.

I'm not sure what kind of president Trump would make. but I listened to his entire speech and like pretty much everything he said.

Love him or hate him, the man gets results.

Well one thing is for sure, on Donald Trump's WORST day, he is EXPONENTIALLY a better choice than hillary who belongs in prison. Right next to Obama.
