Default high powered lights

working under the idea that a cameras flash causes eye issues for a few seconds, can you work on a larger more powerfull version as a defence weapon??

As a distraction/hesitation device, yes, a flashlight will do that. It will not debilitate someone for long but it will give them pause.

I have one of those and it is amazingly bright.

I also have one of these for in my bag and it can be incredibly bright at the highest level.

both pump out light at high levels with a long throw. I wouldn't use them for more than a temporary standoff solution.

That's funny , as a kid I set ups flash bulb in a flash light for just that purpose.
A strobe light would accomplish the same thing.

Remember to close your eyes while using it.

the idea, was to flash their eyes and then to legit, when they get there eyes back I wont be there

A 500 lumen LED flashlight with full power strobe function is an effective deterrent and/or diversion.

If you can't get away, hold the light off to one side as most that will try to shoot at you will shoot at or near the light.

Just my opinion.

My parents used to have an old movie camera with a super duty flood light when I was a kid. After the home movies, all we could see was spots for the next 5 minutes.
