I would not mind investing in some of these... easy to pull apart and trade smaller amounts, even the silvers are nice.

yup.
it's all about handling. the smaller the unit size, the more handling factors into the price.

Most gold is at least $50 over spot per oz.to begin with. To get 50 grams in a divisible bar for $100 over spot is not so unreasonable.

Isn't it $62/oz over spot? 31.1g = 1oz.

IIRC they were part of Credit Suisse at one time. What I've heard is that they are very legit.

Way, way cool idea....but VERY expensive. While the premium is fine for a 1gm. coin, having to pay a high premium on each is expensive for that quanity.

According to my math about $44 per ounce over spot for a single 50g bar.

Spot price: $1670.91
Single 50g bar price = $2871.05
50g = 1.764 oz

price per oz = $2871.05 / 1.764oz = $1715.08 per oz

Price over spot = $1715.08 - $1670.91 = $44.17 over spot

Still not bad at all, much cheaper per oz than most minted rounds. Being easily divisible is a nice bonus. You can get them even cheaper at $2,831.05 each if buy 100+ (in case you have a quarter million $ to spare)

I believe the website is using troy ounces, so 50g = 1.608 ounces
