Wow! Just wow!! I was completely unaware of this. Is this actually true?

From your source

....9mm Luger now offers select projectiles which are, under identical testing conditions, I outperforming most of the premium line .40 S&W and .45 Auto projectiles tested by the FBI....

Me, I'm retired, so I carry what makes me feel good and safe.
Usually .45acp or .40 S&W in Ranger Ts, Critical Duty or Critical Defense.

The last eight years I worked, I carried a Sig P220 .45acp with Ranger Ts and a Sig P232 with Gold Dots as a BUG in an ankle holster. The agency I worked for wore Wellington Boots for a duty boot and the ankle holster fit down in the boot a ways for security. Felt safe and secure at work.

Makes me sleep good at night to carry what I like now.

I doubt it.
That organization is overrated.

I haven't read that article but sure it is very possible. One of the major benefits of ballistic research, specifically a bunch done by dr fackler is the bullets are designed to pass the test. The test mimics what is needed in reality so we get much better performing ammunition in all calibers.

Cleveland police are issued 9mm and they have no problem stopping anything from kids to Malibu's.

So you want the best? Well here is what you do. Decide what YOU think is the best (.38spl, 9mm, 40 S&W, ,357 Sig, 10mm, .45acp or what ever), then carry and shoot nothing other than that.

After you have decided what the best is you can then feel sorry for the "IDIOTS" that carry anything else and laugh at all the internet arguments that go on because you and you alone know the real truth.

Especially since they have access to purchase ammunition that is forbidden to the average citizen.

I was lucky, I worked for an Agency that would issue you a .45acp, .40 S&W or a 9mm. Your choice. There wasn't any crying about what was best and one fits all. Some of the Folks even stayed with revolvers.

There are a variety of bullets that are only sold to LEOs and .mil. Off the top of my head, FN Fiveseven full power ammo, some of the new 300 blackout stuff (the new Barnes 120gr black tip?), and the Federal Flite Wad #1 buck. Others are out there. Sometimes you can find a little from small vendors that will sell to civi's.

Try reloading and load whatever projectiles you desire. There are really effective projectiles available to the reloader.

Retards

the lot of them

to have any noticeable difference you would have to triple or more the energy. which means Rifle rounds

well we know that the Billion plus rounds of 40S&W Hollow point aren't going to the FBI

The federal 62 grain trophy bonded bear claw in 223/5.56 was another. It wasn't illegal and you could find it but it was only made in runs for agencies. When you order a million or so rounds you can get anything made you want.
