Default Muay Thai clothing and gear

Don't think I've mentioned this before but I buy all my Muay Thai gear direct from Thailand.

Choose the longer postage option and buy a few items at the same time and it's much cheaper than buying the same gear in the USA or Australia.

Note that some of the boxing gloves are made of a synthetic materiel, so if you want leather gloves make sure you read the product description before you add it to your cart.

The tee-shirts are all soft brushed cotton, unlike the rougher cotton t-shirts that is the norm in the USA...most of which are made in south american countries.

You need to order at least one t-shirt size larger.

The MMA shorts fit me perfectly at the size marked. If you are between sizes, like a 35 inch waist, err on the side of caution and buy the 36 inch. They are adjustable with a thick Velcro belt and drawstrings inside. (Though they have sold out of most of the MMA short designs they had last year. And be aware the material is nylon with a sweat wicking backing, they are not made of cotton.)

The ankle warmers are great, very thick elastic and very tight when you first get them, but will give with some with washing and wear.
I take a size 9 US shoe size, if that helps, and I have slim ankles.

All the clothing and gear is made in Thailand, so no worries about buying China or Bangladesh made products.

I tend to go for punch and smai.

The punch armidillos are a nice glove but a bit expensive.

Where I go cheap is compression wear that I generally get from big W.

Think on this, mate... (and I'm not having a go at you, because I note that 99% of people haven't given this any thought)...K-Mart, Big-W, Rivers and Lowes menswear are now getting the majority of their clothing manufactured in Bagladesh.

Bangladesh has one of the largest Muslim populations in the world...I refuse to shop at places that get their stuff from Bangladesh, because at the end of the day can we be absolutely certain that some of our money doesn't find its way into the pockets of radical Islamic extremists?

At least when I buy from Thailand or China I know I'm not supporting Islamic terrorists in any way, shape or form.

Oh man, I still have my shorts packed away somewhere lol A couple years back I had to throw away me Fairtex sparring gloves because they smelled like death. I got them when I was 16 and used them for about 8 years till they started to fall apart. High quality though and worth all my allowance I used to purchase them

Still have my shin guards and Thai pads though and they are in great shape.

I got mine while training in Thailand at the American Gym. Made my legs look like those of Montgomery Burns.
I'm going to miss Lumpinee. There's nothing like getting plastic cups full of ice hurled at you.

Well Thailand is going through a bit of that at the moment.

Politically, socially, and seasonally, Thailand's getting a massive kick in the nuts in general, it's heartbreaking. I loved my time there. Friendly, laid back people. Heat and pollution in Bangkok though was torture.
... oh, and those jump ropes made out of rubber hoses.

It's gotta be better than a speed rope in between the toes?
