Just curious, where you heard that was it a movie?

I was a combat engineer, atomic demolition 12e. (wiki SADM and MADM if you want to see) We had our own saying:

Nuke 'em til they glow, shoot 'em in the dark.

Never attribute to malice, that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

A nation this is unfit to fight cannot from experience prove the virtue of not fighting (Gandhi)

Never shoot a large calibre man with a small calibre bullet (Lone Survivor Movie)

Professions are chosen, but poets and border guards are born (KGB saying).

I was a 55G and 911A that worked SADM/MADM and all the other Army systems - in fact I've got an old SADM bag in my truck to store tie down straps. One of our favorite sayings was "Made in America...Tested In Japan...Best Nukes in the World!"

How did you manage to get that? Never mind, don't answer that.....

There is a site that our guys check in at it has a guestbook to sign in on. And some reunion info occasionally. It is kinda like a discussion thread. I was at the FLW Engineer Museum and they had a VERY small ADM display with some misinfo, I left a message for the curator to correct it and go to the guestbook for info. I will PM the URL to you.

Improvise, adapt, overcome

Winter is coming

Sometimes if you want to see a change for the better you have to take things into your own hands.

Take the cotton out of your ears and put it in your mouth. Sit down be quiet and listen. You might learn something.

Too much emergency medicine prevents natural selection.

Opportunity favors the prepared

"It seemed like a good idea at the time" (punch line of many jokes)

"Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition" was the WW 2 update of Oliver Cromwell's advice to "Trust in God and keep your powder dry". Seems some things just don't change.
