I carry in church as I believe it is my duty to defend God's precious gift of life, be it mine or others. One time, I actually laughed out loud when I found myself wondering if the priest had an old double barrel shotty mounted on a pivot under the alter.

I don't go anywhere armed .... unless you can count my pocket knives . Just never felt the need where I live ...it's really laidback . I am armed at home , however .

If ever I do feel the need , I will take whatever means necessary to protect my family .

Apparently, not.

Jesus may protect you but I'll have John Moses Browning and St. Gabriel Possenti protect me and my family.

I would venture to guess that’s there’s more pedophile red necks than pedophile priests.

but I don’t hear you advocating killing them.

Sounds like you have an issue with the Catholic Church.

Not all churches are located in the best parts of town. and even those have had issues with crazy people.

Our church has several LEO's that attend and Im am sure all of them carry, even on Sunday.

Not only do I advocate killing anyone that abuses a child, but I will be happy not only to perform the execution but to supply the bullets.

And thats why people feel it necessary to pack a gun everywhere. I doubt you have to deal with thugs and ganbangers in your peaceful mountain cabin.

Heck...even my pastor carries. I suggest reading the book "Shooting Back" by Charl Van Wyk. True story that will open your eyes.

You ask this because I said they sit in a small circle?

It's called Sunday School. Very common. Here is a shocking example:

Charlie??? Is that you???

As far as I'm concerned there ain't no excuse
For the raping and the killing and the child abuse
And I've got a way to put an end to all that mess

Just take them rascals out in the swamp
Put 'em on their knees and tie 'em to a stump
Let the rattlers and the bugs and the alligators do the rest

You know what's wrong with the world today
People done gone and put their Bible's away
They're living by the law of the jungle not the law of the land

The Good Book says it so I know it's the truth
An eye for and eye and a tooth for a tooth
You better watch where you go and remember where you been
That's the way I see it I'm a Simple Man

Most people, even if they carry religiously, won't carry while inside a friend's house out of respect.

They won't carry at a family member's house out of respect.

Yet, while in the Lord's house, while surrounded by those same family and friends, they carry.

Odd.

Just out of curiosity... in regards to the attacks that everybody lists as the reason to carry... is there even one case where a civilian who was armed successfully stopped an attack? I realize that the mega church in Colorado had a hired trained security guard, but that's the only one, and I've never heard of a church goer sitting in the pews being able to stop an attack, yet fans of CCDW at church act like it's very realistic.
