Sadly, Palemoon wants Windows 7 or later as a prerequisite.

It's not easy being a dinosaur.

I'm running FF 59.2.0 on top of XP-Pro. Thought FF wasn't even updating that revision.

NoScript still working.

Anybody know anything?
I have same problem. I have same version FF and Win XP. It appears we are at mercy of Mozilla to patch FF.

I was enjoying AdNauseum to block ads and it was working wonderfully until now.

All - fixes are coming. Mozilla started to roll out the fixes as of yesterday morning.

I was able to fix mine. All is good here.

At 14:30 hours EDT Sunday mine is still out. I'm sure that they will ignore my old O/S and rev. of FF as long as possible. Maybe forever.

Runnin' XP here with FF. Have no trouble using Pale Moon V7.0 if you can find it. It's almost 40MB and loads stuff faster on my dial up than anything else. Hell, I even have Sea Monkey for occasional use.
You might try to find Wary Puppy, an open source OS that is pretty simple and can be booted and run from a CD. Nice for doing stuff that's a little more sensitive. Run it in RAM and whatever you've done goes away when you shut down unless you save it somewhere on your drive.

Best I can find under "properties" is File Version 4.1.1.82 for the online installer. Latest is 2015, so I'd assume that will get you the version that I"m using.

Last night could not get AdBlock to load on my old FF version.

Did a little searching and found a site that would load a older version of AdBlock.

All is well again.

I didn't know what I was missing! Some of the ads I saw in those few days would gag a maggot!

p.s. If you need it, the URL is:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...efox/versions/

Scroll way down and you'll find versions that are compatible with FF 52.0

I loaded AdBlock 3.8.0 They say that it'll update itself automatically on every cold boot. Apparently it does.

I run AdBlock Plus and Adblocker Ultimate. Just can't seem to get them all with one or the other. In addition, I run:

- Ghostery though some tech blogs no longer recommend it
- Privacy Badger
- uBlock Origin

THatr's all in addition to the hardening done within FF itself.

I had Privacy Badger until I finally retired my antediluvian Dell C models. Bought three D models for $250 the lot. XP is apparently compiled differently for the newer processor. Why that could make any difference I don't know, but have been unable to get Privacy Badger to load since. Should pester EFF about it.

Edit: Never mind. I finally hit upon the right search string to get the Mozilla list of legacy versions of Privacy Badger, and sure enough one of those loaded!

By now, anyone running FF should be on 66.0.5.

Which won't load for FF 52. And later revs of FF won't load on XP-Pro. Such is "progress". And do NOT tell me I should just buy new hardware so I can inflict Windows 10 on myself. Can't afford it.

BTW it turns out that an older version of Privacy Badger will load and function for me. 2017.11.20. Studying the bullet-lists for the newer versions, they're all about adding new languages, (Finnish!?? Every Finn I've ever known spoke English, and Russian, and German, and Swedish!), or has to do with correcting problems with Opera or smartphone software, or some 64-bit feature that I don't care about.

I'm happy. Ads are gone, and interestingly an intermittent screen-freeze issue I had with FF is also gone. Life is good.
