Default Annoying Pop-up Video

Advertise Here

I am experiencing a very annoying pop-up video on the lower right corner of my screen. I haven't watched it through to see who is responsible, I should so I can be sure to boycott the product. I don't know if it appears on all threads or not.

I have started getting them. They are annoying but as long as they are not center screen popups I guess the owners must make money. It is not like we pay for being here.

Yeah, I have had it.

I turned off my pop up blocker recently so that's probably it.

My pop-up blocker is off so they've found a way around it. I don't mind ads but I can't handle a steady diet of these, if I click on another thread I have to fight it all over.

Same here. Various ad types. Doesn't happen on other sites. No reason to get another add on to view what shouldn't be on here to begin with.

Thanks for the tip. Installed Ghostery on Chrome and it worked instantly.

However now I see no advertisements at all. The normal ones didn't bother me so much and were fine. Occasionally some of them were interesting.

So it seems like one advertiser went over the top and ruined it for the rest of them.

I just hope SB doesn't lose a bunch of revenue because they allowed some jackwagon to go a little overboard.

Glad we finally got rid of the "two little girls" advertisement.
That same ad at the top of every page for multiple years was creepy.

The ads are getting worse. They will drive people away. See the problem is like AM radio. The station/site owners do not care about listeners/participants so long as more and more companies place ads.

Now the question, I do not know the answer to, is how many of the few listeners/participtants buy the products?

I imagine the fix may depend to some extent on what browser you use. But if you use Firefox ,and if I recall correctly someone said Chrome, you can install Ghostery Add Blocker and that should take care of your problem. I run FF and use Ghostery, have no adds or pop ups so really can't see the items y'all are complaining about.

If you're using Firefox, install Ghostery, and use it. I didn't realize how many things it blocked, until I disabled it one day. Made YouTube, unwatchable.

I think they are Flash animation. It's Adobe's way of defeating ad blockers.
