My wife said we need to landscape the front yard. So I planted apple tree, cherry trees and some asparagus

I prefer a few beers after work, but don't care what you're having as long as it isn't hurting anyone. You're fine as far as I'm concerned.

I'm looking into that area because its affordable, better weather, more freedom, and one of my few Shtf buddies lives out there.

If Tucson proper is really bad I'll look at something about an hour away perhaps, but this is the first time I hear anything negative about the place.

This is my attitude also. As long as no one is getting on the road and endangering others, I don't care what they are doing. I'm one of those folks that once I hit that front door I'm in for the night. My "outside" clothes come off, my "inside" clothes go on and I hit the patio. And the outside world had better not try to bother me until it's time for me to have to go back out in it, either. Just ask any telemarketer who happens to draw the short stick and rings me up in the evening.

Isn't smoking pot what Libertarians want to do too? And don't they want to tell us what not to do, and isn't that basically the same as telling us what to do? So......it seems to me that Liberals & Libertarians are kissing cousins, politically.

For different reasons.

Libertarians want people to choose, not government.

Liberals want people to be well medicated, so to not resist government choosing for us.

Man, you guys got some weird ideas about what libertarianism is all about. But hey, that's your prerogative. I'm gonna sit over here and let y'all do your thing. Just watching the show.

Pot has helped me with my PTSD regardless of my political views or affiliation.

Mine, too. My migraines were nonexistent, too. No legal remedy has come even close to what a few hits on a bong a couple times a week did for me. And I'm not talking about the designer pot of today. I'm talking about that lightweight **** that was on the street back in the late 70s and early 80s. Yeah, I'm an old fart.

There are three types of security officer.

Want to be cops
drummed out cops
And professional security officers.

the first two are A##h#les
and the third wants nothing to do with the first two.

By the way i was a federal security officer and have had run ins with the first two types.

There's another type:

Retired cop, bored out of his mind running from his Stepford Wife wife, wanting to kill time between vacations. I'm married to one of those. He went back to the same agency, working with the same people, except when things get ugly he calls the young dogs and just sits back and watches the show and snickers.

I find it interesting how CLEET has been REALLY, REALLY quiet through this whole thing and none of the news stations has questioned the selection and/or training process for SOs as of yet. This story is still in the top 3 leading stories as of last night so we will see, but I don't see that angle ever seeing the light of day from the idiot box, though it should.

Btw, the news reported last night the shooter had an "arsenal" of "almost 100 bullets" at his home. Not to make light of the situation I nearly **** myself laughing.

the security guard training is done in 4 phases
phase 1 is unarmed security guard (20 hours)
phase 2 is armed security guard (20 hours)
phase 3 is private investigator (40 hours)
phase 4 is firearms training (32 hours)
plus they have to take a mental health test 500 questions that is going to tell them you are mentally stable carry a firearm and a write test to get your license

a CLEET certified police officer goes through 14 1/2 weeks of training or 580 hours of training and several mental health exams before they become a cop

I know this cause I have been through both CLEET security guard training and the CLEET police academy. the police academy is a lot harder to pass then the security guard training. don't pass the police academy you don't become a police officer period. don't pass the security guard test you can take it over until you do pass.

I truly believe that armed security guards should have to go through the same training as police officers and be held to a higher standard at all times. as I have seen some armed security guards that made me wonder how the hell they ever got or passed a basic IQ test let alone the CLEET requirements to start with.
Iíve been through both as well. The glaring difference I see in the two is that the police academy is taught at CLEET by certified CLEET officers/instructors. The security guard training is taught by (supposedly certified instructors) at Vo-Tech schools.

The class is taught, they pay their money, get a certificate to give to CLEET, pay CLEET licensing fees and now they are security guards.
