Maine Election Officials Approve Referendum for California-Style Gun Control

If passed, the referendum would outlaw personal gun sales by requiring a background check for every sale in the state–private and retail.

I didn't know if any of you Maine residents were aware of this so here's a heads up.

I don't think it would ever pass in Maine.

Maine ranks in the top 10 for Gun-Pro states, and has for decades.

We have constitutional 'Shall Issue' for CCW permits.
We do not require CCW permits to CCW.
We allow Open Carry with no permits.
Full-auto is popular along with suppressors.

But there are always out-of-state activists coming here to change things.

We need to be on top of this. There is a very good chance that it will pass.

The petitioners were less than honest when they were getting signatures, and Bloomberg is dumping a ton of money into the state to get this passed.

If they can get Maine, they can get anywhere.

Do a web search for Gun Owners of Maine for more information.
