You should consider getting two, one for each hand. Buy lots of ammo, PIA to reload 5.7 I hear.

Yeah but we have that oddly placed safety that takes getting used to.

I get the cool novelty of these, but I don't see them as practical. They were designed around a specialty AP bullet, which we do not have access to. It's not much better than .22 mag. I would much prefer a full sized 9MM for combat/carry.

In the pistol? Not much, since you canít buy the evil armor piercing ammo, and the barrel is too short for real effective velocity, itís basically a 20 shot centerfire 22 mag. Quantity does have a quality all its own, of course.

As a companion to the PS90, itís better. 50 rounds on tap, super maneuverable, better ballistics. Stupid prices, though.

Notadamnthing.

It's basically a centerfire 17HMR.

I had a couple cases of the AP ammo when they banned it, made me alot.of money and I got a fair amount of trigger time with a carbine and a SBR.

Fun toy, but the PD's that tried it QUICKLY went back to M4's after a shooting or 2. (And that's with ammo we cannot get.)

Only situation I'd carry one would be zombies (capacity, and headshots anyway)

Fun toy though.

you can get guns now in .22TCM, firing the same weight 22 caliber projectile, but at much higher velocities than you would get from a 5.7 pistol, so they produce considerably more energy, about as much from a pistol as a 5.7x28 gets from a P90, and ammunition is pretty cheap to make, using 5.56/.223 brass

so if someone just wanted a high capacity, high velocity 22 caliber pistol, why not just get a .22tcm over a 5.7? but i already know the answer to that.. the .22tcm isnt a round that is associated with military and SWAT teams, so it's not as cool

Except that 22magnum is a giant pain in the ass reliablity wise. If you dont agree try shooting it in a semi auto past the squaking clean point. As soon as some residue builds up that tiny long case starts sticking like a SOB. Even Glock saw this in their 22LR, hence the fluted chamber.

The silver ones are the inserts that allow me to shoot 22 rimfire (CB. short, long and long rifle) in my pistol (S&W model 53) that shoots a 357 Mag necked down to 22. Known as the 22 Jet or the 22 Remington Center Fire Magnum 22 RCFM. Zero recoil but you can feel the shock wave on the whole front of your body. With full tilt loads I wear ear muffs over ear plugs. There is a selector on the hammer that changes from centerfire to rimfire by which firing pin in the frame the hammer strikes. I shoot cast bullets at like 22 Mag levels for about a penny a piece, even at today's prices it would only be about a nickel a pop. It was built before there was a 22 rimfire magnum.
