This was not caused by pot. It was caused by the woman being mentally ill.

This.

Too often the mentally ill (diagnosed or not) self medicate. Illicit drugs & alcohol in excess.

You got it Camel. And that is why they always treat me like an addict when I ask for medical help. The joke being my husband is the alcoholic, not me.

Pot didn't "make" her do it, she was already delusional I am sure.

I get a little tired of the tox screen always being run every time I go to the doctor. But I see why they do it.

There is no Doc anywhere that should or would run a tox screen on you just because you show up. More to this story? Basically this is illegal as hell. As a nurse if I ever did that I would lose my license and then some so would the Doc.

With the increased THC levels in some of the stuff available today there is more to it than just being mellow. But that observation made her situation wasn't from a joint or three. TRyan called it.

And as much as advocates will declaim it it has been known since the 60's that early age (teens) pot use increases the chances of schizophrenia later. In the presence of a particular identified known gene the chances increase by several hundred percent in males.

If pot was the cause of her actions it wasn't acute usage that caused it; it would have use at a much earlier age.

Yep, "the pot" caused this! If we could just ban "the pot" think of the lives we could save!

Yep the gun did this! If we could just ban guns...

There’s no such thing as ‘increased THC levels’. The content has been there since day one. But, you are right about one thing, availability.

Actually the pot they smoked in the 70's was between 3% & 6% THC. The pot going around today is between 12% & 32% or so I've read.

Actually, there is! I have to do a urine drop for drug screening almost every time I see one particular doctor. That's every three months. After thirty years on the job with no major injury, I got hurt really bad one night. It permanently disabled me and causes me major pain every single day. That particular doctor is my pain management doctor and he prescribes pain meds for me for every day use. I get drug tested almost every time that I see him because of the new drug laws and regulations. They need to make sure that those of us on those types of meds, really are taking them and not selling them on the street. It's the price we pay for being able to smile versus cringing from the pain.

This is so true. The Maui Wowie from the '70's doesn't hold a candle to the stuff available today.
