Next Tuesday I'm starting again. I've said this a few times now, but I've had issues with my heals. They've been bothering my alot this summer. I finally broke down and bought a new pair of running shoes and a pair of walking boots, or whatever they're called. They have good heal support. I'm a shorts, no socks and sandals type person, but my heals have been hurting alot. I bought the shoes and boots on Amazon and they're supposed to be at my place on Friday night. Hopefully, they'll fit.

I haven't gained any weight in the last few weeks. When I start exercising again, hopefully it will start coming off again. Right now, I'm at 245 but I was at 265 on 1/1/2013.

At least you've managed to maintain instead of gaining.

It's a bit more expensive, but I recommend going to a store that specializes in fitting running shoes of you want to run. When I went the first time they video recorded my feet while I ran on a treadmill, then evaluated my stride in order to fit me with a shoe that supports my feet properly. It just so happens that my feet roll a bit when they land (pronate), so I got a shoe that counteracts that motion. Now when I wear out a pair of shoes out I just go to the store and they look me up in their system.

At least you're getting some shoes designed for the activity, which is better than nothing. Stay after it, and good luck.

You're making excuses beerbuster. You don't need heels to sit at a weight machine or ride a stationary bicycle. My knees are terrible so I cant run but the local gym has all kinds of cool sit down type exercise machines. I burn about 400 calories every time I go. My problem is to not drink it back on. Beer is really tasty after a good workout.

I made it to the gym on Tuesday morning. I ran 3.5 miles on the treadmill. I huffed and puffed and ran at an incredibly slow pace. I said I was going to go Thursday and Friday but I slept in.

So far on the year I'm at 245 miles. Last year I did 822 miles.

Last year I lost 35 pounds. This year, I've gained 15 pounds, but I've maintained for the last two months.

On the weekends, I get excited about the next week, and I keep saying I'm going to get back into it, but I don't. I'll get it back, just don't know when.

Ok it's time for another beer.

3.5 is better than nothing. Stay at it one day at a time.

I went to the gym today. The first time since late September that I exercised. I quit my job and got gym membership near my house. It's open 24/7.

I'm completely out of shape, but I did manage to huff and puff my way to 2.5 miles. I'm going to get up early tomorrow morning, when my wife gets up for work, and go back to the gym.

YAY Brew!!! I started back on my diet yesterday. Low carbs, juicing in the morning, and then fats (coconut oil, avocado, lard) and protein. Lots of veggies too though. Race ya to the bottom. I'm back with that 20 lbs.

I'm in Brew. I gained all the weight back that I lost with Ricekila with our great challenge. I know what I've done wrong though. I have to add strength training with weights. I have to add more muscle to speed up my metabolism and burn fat. I hate weight training but when I stick to it that's the way I've really shaped up and the results stay with me if I just stick to a moderate program. Just aerobics isn't enough for me. It comes right back. I haven't done weights seriously since I was at my brothers in 2014 but that works.

I just eat decent and keep up the hiking till you start after the 1st. Then I'll start too.
