Just bought it, used gun. Pistol grip, plastic hand stock. My problem is getting the plug out. It will not fit through the screw hole on the end-it is either two big to start with or it is swollen.
I would appreciate any advice to solve this problem-do not want to take a chance on damaging my new home defense, thanks for any input.

If It doesn't come out the screw hole, Once you back the "nut" (for lack of a better term) out, pull the barrel away from the the receiver. Then remove the magazine. Going from memory, I think that it threaded in. You should be able to get it out one the magazine tube is removed.

ETA - I think you have to remove the bolt and everything to remove the magazine tube. Gotta remove the trigger assembly to remove the bolt if I remember correctly. Basically gotta strip it down all but the stock.

There are a bunch of videos on youtube to watch. It's an easy process.

Yes it is threaded. My last one was loctited in there, and it required some slip joint pliers. The previous one I could just turn by hand.

You shouldn't have to remove anything other than the barrel to remove the magazine tube. You would just have to be careful of the pump action bars. It may be easier with the trigger group and bolt out.

Once the tube is out the guts should just fall out.
