Oh yeah? How do you know that not a single one has underwent hardship in their lives? This "young" generation represents the first time that the standard of living will be much lower than the previous.

Additionally, why blame the victims? They didn't crash this economy, wall street greed did. And these "kids" just want to bring those who are responsible to justice.

I'm not so sure all the youth are for free handouts/socialism Mr O style. Give them the opportunity to earn a decent living & I'm sure most would follow the path I did. Screw the rest.

I'm not for attacking WS either. . . BUT the clowns have to be kept in check.

They are the ones responsible for our financial system debacle, along with their partners in crime the lenders and their buddies . . . the assclowns in Washington DC.

It is more despotic than a monarchy, more insolent than autocracy, and more selfish than bureaucracy. It denounces as public enemies, all who question it's methods or throw light upon it's crimes. I have two great enemies, the Southern Army in front of me and the Bankers in the rear. Of the two, the one at my rear is my greatest foe ... corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money powers of the country will endeavor to prolong it's reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until the wealth is aggregated in the hands of a few, and the Republic is destroyed."

That is awesome. I love it.

As for no jobs, there are some out there. They're not where people want them, probably not doing what people want, and they're not paying what people want, but they're out there. If I lose my job, I'll move to where the jobs are even if that means having to head to the wacky-land that is the Bay Area.

The protesters are whiny little punks spurred on by older loser commie organizers, much like PETA. If they put half as much effort into establishing a business as they did whining our economy might get a jump start.

I'am sure they all have I-phones and camcorders, they all are going to college on somebodies dime, There not starving, They always have money for weed, they have clean sheets and pillow to rest there heads, clean toilets and TP to wipe there butts with. There are poor people all around the world who truly suffer more than these folks. The only problem these kids have is they have been tought to be haters. The problem here isn't wall street as an industry, or capitalism, or the constitution. Its that humans are sinners. Humans are not always the caring beautiful people we'd like to see. First and foremost, we are selfish an self centered. I don't care what class of people you are or what group you aline yourself with, there are scumbags everywhere. Deal with them directly. Liberals/Democrats want to group all of us as a$$h@les, Change are system to socialist/Marxist/Fascist state, and take the power out of the hands of the many and put it in the hands of a few. That wont work for me.

The power is already in the hands of a few, we live in an oligarchy. Look at the wealth in the top 1% of the US and tell me that they don't control everything. Everyone else is a slave. If you work, and all you can afford are rent and food, you are a slave. Slaves were provided room and board, and that was it. Now the slaves have to pay their own rent, it is a pretty neat system, if you are the one doing the controlling.

Jobs

Many of us that still have jobs, have not a clue as what the youth face. Unless they have children. I've been married twice and have 5 children. The 3 oldest all have college degrees, some more than one degree. All have at least double majors. All have lost their jobs.

After several months, one Son moved to California to take a job. There were MORE THAN 2,500 COLLEGE GRADS WITH ADVANCED DEGREES THAT APPLIED FOR THAT JOB. The other Son with a Double Major (Computer Science and is a Certified Teacher in English and Literature) was unemployed for over a year. He just took an hourly wage job for $10 per hour (essentially no benefits). He was thrilled to even get a job of any kind. Ten dollars an hour is NOTHING CLOSE to a living wage in that area. That Son has about 30K of school loans. My Daughter has 3 Degrees (Applied Science, Social Work, Certified Teacher) she was unable to find a job for several months after the school system laid off many teachers. She finally gave up and is a stay at home mom. This might work for her as her husband is paid quite well.

Many that do not have children are unaware of just how hard it is on hard working, intelligent, young people. Or anyone for that matter, that has lost a job. There simply are no jobs at any price in many areas. Without the social network of unemployment, food stamps, etc. There would be scenes like the Great Depression that everyone would see. Thousands standing in lines, begging, selling apples by the road side. Just my opinion but it's based on my children's lives.

HAhahahahahahahahahaha.

Yes Generation Facebook/Youtube Timeouts/Playdates is going to drag people out of offices.

They can't even drag themselves to a job.

My god.

If you simply threaten, not actually do it, to take away their iphone they will immediately throw themselves on the street and have a tantrum. Then Mommy and Dada will have to come out, blame everyone for "scaring" THEIR PWECIOUS MOST SPECIAL-IST CUTEST BRIGHTEST SMARTEST BABY EVER EVER EVER EVER BORN and coddle and coo them right back to the warmy cozy widdle house where everything is milk and honey and gumdrops and rainbows.

Come on folks .... these are spoiled worthless punk brats who think the world owes them a living on their terms set on standards that they decide.

Harry Potter is more realistic or the Vampire Diaries.

Iam 48, started a new job 2 yrs ago with a degree i got in the 80's. I had little experience for this job and its been tough, but i make more money now than i ever have (and it pays real good). And they still are addling more people. I hate the corp cult-like culture but I travel a lot so i avoid it mostly. Point is there out there and it can get better with the right atmosphere. Picking the right industry, the profession, has a lot to do with it. Go were the money is.

This is what people have to do today if they don't want to be an economic victim.

Go where the money is. It may not be fun, you may not be comfortable with it, but it is about the only way to get a good wage.

I've said this before, my daughter & her husband sold their condo here, quit their jobs and moved to Vegas 3 years ago. They did their homework 1st before taking the jump, and it was the best thing ever. They doubled their income and bought a new 3 story house in a gated neighborhood on the southwest side.

I'm not saying for anyone to do this, or run to Vegas. There is opportunity somewhere for your skills, you have to do the research and have a concrete long range plan.

They had all their bases covered, knew the risks, had a long range plan, and as the saying goes . . . "Chance favors the prepared mind".

Come on now, "Wall Street" buys the politicians, politicians change the laws to benefit "Wall Street".

Who benefits from "The Stimulus"?.. That we get to pay back.
Wall street wouldn't need to buy politicians if government stayed out of it, and politician wouldn't have any power if money stayed out of Washington, and money would stay out of Washington if people didnt use government to rig the game, or in some cases defend the people against a socialist take over.

You last two fellows, I just don't know.

Of course we are on the hook for all the money that has been "liberally" distributed among the rich and powerful.

Wall Street and the IRS are the stealing arm of the government, they are all in bed together since 1913, a Hydra if you will, all three heads need to be cut off.

Dont know what? socialism? After all what are you purposing? how would you deal with this. Companies are in the business for profit and have no obligation to help you in any way. Why cant you understand that? There is nothing illegal with that. Government controlling business is fascism. Government Redistribution of wealth to those who dont earn it is socialism.

Yawn.

They were going to do it in the 60s then the 70s or was it the early 80s then earth first in the late 90s.

Some of those folks were serious ... this bunch is all about five minutes "protesting" then six hours blogging about it on Facebook to their worthless useless "friends" .... safe and sound in Mommy's basement or in an apt Mommy pays for.

IF one of them DID try to storm an office all you'd have to do is threaten to "de-friend" them and they'd stop dead in their tracks.

I could have been a doctor, a lawyer...I doubt I would have a chance as an Indian Chief! LOL, I am an American citizen and I have always thought that I had rights. Some people are very religious and that is just fine. I was one of those who was trained to believe in the American way of life, freedom, pledge to the flag, etc. As an American I always thought that NO ONE would take those rights from me as long as I remain on this soil! Things are different today. They can kick down your door in the middle of the night with a no-knock warrant! They can shoot and kill you or your family at will. If they have the wrong address, Opps, well, so what....YOU cannot do a damn thing about it as the cops are immune. Where is Hitler when we need the SOB? Try to protest and get pepper sprayed or shoved against the wall or arrested.....Things really are different today! Very sad! Is this the country that we are willing to settle for? Vote Ron Paul!:)

As an American citizen it does not matter if you are a child and just starting kindergarten or an old dude entering the nursing home. Each of us have rights and priviledges because of the fact that we are American citizens! The U.S. Constitution gives us those rights and they belong to us! Many of our friends and relatives have died to give us those rights! I am proud to be an American, I cherish the rights and priviledges that go along with that. If you do not, you can take a damn hike as far as I am concerned! I would like to kick your azz but you have the right to be stupid in America! LOL:thumb:

No doubt - especially on this board where people want to claim how enlightened they are compared to the sheeple...but how easily we fall into the same trap of attacking each other based on perceived differences.

We have been trained to hate each other so as to take the focus off of those who put the screws to all of us. So maybe I don't agree with these protesters on everything but I do understand that the elite sure are good at making the slaves fight amoungst each other so as to distract them as to the crap the masters are doing to all of them.

I too am shocked at the attitude in this thread. Specifically about how the unemployed must just not be trying hard enough.

WHen McDonalds had their recent 'national hiring day" of 50,000 jobs or so, ONE MILLION people applied. They ended up hiring 62,000.

Think about what this means: over 900,000 people were TURNED DOWN FROM A MCDONALD'S JOB. When McDonald's turns you away, where are you supposed to go to look for work?
Now are these protestors in this group? maybe, maybe not. but just remember it is no longer as simple as people not being willing to 'stoop' to these jobs; there just aren't any there.

Stupid example. McDonalds is one business with only X number of positions. I'll bet over 90% who applied to Arby's, Burger King, Kangaroo, etc. on that day got a job due to lack of competition. A billion people could have applied and only 62,000 would have gotten jobs because THAT'S ALL THAT WAS AVAILABLE AT THAT ONE BUSINESS.

If anything, it just proves how many people won't even apply for a job without massive advertisements in their face telling them it's available. When your idea of a "job search" is watching TV until a McDonalds ad comes on, you are doing it wrong.
