I saw one for sale from another source and the asking price was high enough to put you in UTV territory. Which would be a better all around vehicle.

Mules were fun and useful 40 years ago but technology has moved on.

Their price is about what my John Deere Gator was 15 years ago, and is very similar in features. I've got 400+ hours on it, have never had it stuck or high centered over a log, and have only done regular maintenance on it. Have hauled wood, dirt, fertilizer, skidded 1000+ lb logs out of the woods, and everything else you need to do around the farm, including putting a 15 gallon tank of Roundup in the bed and putting it around the place.

I do wish it had power steering.

I wonder if the Kawasaki mule took its name from the military version?

I used the original Gators a lot when I was working. When chasing Canada thistle in cattail stands it would plow through through thick vegetation way higher than my head, stopping and starting over and over, and never miss a beat. Just unbelievable performance.

I have no idea if the names have any connection but I picked up our Mule for almost a third of what the mil-surp Mule I saw was going for and it is way more versatile.

My neighbor just sold one. He picked it up not running for 1500. parts are dirt cheap for these things. He flipped it for profit.
