Default New respect for old job

Anyone know or ever think about firefighters, what they actually do?
Up until now I, in the abstract, knew their job was hard.
Well experience is the best teacher, I just finished industerial fire school today and have a new respect for the men / women in the fire services.
Just for one day I put out fires, it is hard work, extreemly hot, and dangerous as h3ll. These people do it daily. I thought I could get some pictures on my camera, but I was too busy, don't fear however as our safety man was there just clicking away. He is going to burn a disc and I will post some photos here and some more in my gallery. Just something to think about.

Ok, finally got the disc from fire school, the photos were too large to post here, so I put them in my gallery.

P.S.----I'm the guy in the fire suit :D

Congradulations on finishing your training.
It IS a hot nasty job, and seeing some of these guys, who'd just pulled out from fighting these forest fires, here in Florida, sure moves them up several notches, in my opinion.
Loooking forward to the pictures.
