Looks like it got pushed, when I called it was supposed to be mid-3rd Quarter.
I am betting that you will not see them readily available before next year. They still don't have them on the website the last time I checked. Always a bad sign.

Has everyone missed the true calling of this weapon. It is the perfect zombie gun.

Good sign. Hey kids, Christmas is coming, $50 each ought to just about do it. Mom can pay the tax.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I put one on order a few weeks ago.

My FFL received my Rossi "Mare's Leg" yesterday (in .44), so I'll post how it shoots once I get the chance. Already bought the holster from Legacy Sports.

As a field pistol it has its points. No gas blowby at the cylinder. A goodly length of barrel, so you'll get good velocity. It makes a fantastic club, and the loop protects your knuckles while you club with it.

Cool

I would prefer one in .45-70. It would have the same range of usefulness as a Sawed-Off Shotgun; with none of the NFA hassles.

That is: it would be [Mostly] for firing two-handed from the hip--or a slightly modified "Under Arm Assault Position". It would be handy for people who have to do room entry--Swat Teams today--Many a scavenging survivalist in the future [Although the survivalist would be checking out rooms that he Thought were Probably empty.]

Another thought: 12" Barrel; 24" overall. If you don't get around to getting a Rossi--or if you want one in .30-30; .35 Remington; .45-70--not to mention Rimfire.....

Get you a good used Marlin; have your Gunsmith cut the stock off like the Bushwhacker; and shorten the barrel to about 16 1/4". That gives you a legal barrel. At 28 1/4" long, it will be more than long enough.

It won't be quite as compact, nor quite as fast handling--But another 4 1/4" of barrel ought to give you a noticeably quieter and more powerful Gun.

[I'm planning on having a long-barreled "Road Warrior" made as soon as I come across a nice cheap double barrel 12 Gauge.....

Its stupid, but one puts up with what he must.

In Canada these are sold as non restricted rifles, not handguns as we have none of the SBR BS that our southern nieghbors have to suffer. As long as said firearm is about 26.5" long and not semi automatic you're good to go.
The Ranch Hand is an amazing camp gun once that goofy sawed off buttstock is replaced with a full size one, legal for deer and everything else.
