I a tired of writing about it but DHEC in SC really have no intention of telling the truth with numbers.
Our numbers went up again, as well, because in the last month they have done TWO testing "blitzes" in my county, as several in others, as well. Even though our numbers are up, my county is still running at a 2.3% positive rate, whereas the state average is 5.7%.

You are absolutely correct if a county is running 2% and 100 test are done the case number will be 2. If 300 test are done the case number will be 6 and DHEC will say the number of cases are up.

I am assuming NZ has high humidity year round. Is that a correct assumption?

New Zealand has relatively low humidity. Climate varies hugely depending on location from mangroves in the far North to Glaciers in the far South. Lattitude wise it goes from 34 degrees to 47 degrees (South obviously) so vaguely comparable to Seattle at one end and Los Angeles at the other. Both N and S Islands are pretty thin though so more of a maritime climate as opposed to continental. The colder end of South Island does get a bit less of a maritime influence as it's wider and higher complete with glaciers but still nothing like central US.

About a quarter of the population is in Auckland in the North and the rest is spread throughout the rest. Population density is pretty low compared with say Europe. Due to the transport links it's a pretty easy place to impose local or national quarantine measures. Many communities only have one main road in and out to the North and South following the coast.

New Zealand appears to have low case numbers thanks to a rapid and effective quarantine when there were very low numbers. The government imposed the right measures early on and the public were smart and followed
them. A decent test, track and trace regime did the rest an they've managed to almost eradicate it within an short timescale.

Thanks I know a lot more about New Zealand than before. Some would have said I should have googled it but I hate "link" discussions. It is not my country so I have no business judging your choices. I observation is this quarantine cannot go on for ever and I would seem to me your effective quarantine months have just started.

Good luck

It really looks and sounds like paradise. I hope I get to visit (and hike!) there someday.

Sorry it took some time to get back to this. So what you are saying is pneumonia was at least initially included in flu deaths. I wonder what the final out come will be of the CONVIS "reported" deaths should they ever actually figure out why all of those reported really died. I'm sure it wasn't all from the virus.

Not initially, they intentionally "bundled them" to create a political fiction.
This has been extensively discussed.

I am sure that deaths were intentionally or accidentally mis attributed to corona.
I am also sure that other deaths were not counted.

As ALWAYS it is highly unlikely we will learn the truth.

Another week without any cases and you should be able to reopen everything except tourism.

So. The sky isn't falling. I was right all along that it was a hoax/coverup. All of the people who backlashed against me in the beginning, shame on you.

The real thing going on right now is the inevitable crashing of the economy. It's going to take a year or two but it's coming. Perfect time to switch over to digital currencies. Because the internet AIN'T GOIN NOWHERE! In fact, Elon Musk already has about 500 or so starlink satellites in the sky. 500 out of the planned 47,000. We are well on our way to a fully automated society.

There were many things that happened during the lockdown. And social distancing remains a thing so that they can be sure to not mix up anyones digital footprint. .gov wanted to get a surefire look at where everyone was at from the eyes of their gorgon stare satellite way up on the sky that has been perfected to the T. This is not science fiction folks this is real life.

There is no place to run and no place to hide. Soon enough law enforcement will be conducted by AI and robots. Furthering the push towards a future where only robots and AI work.

This is not fantasy land folks. Society has taken the red pill. It's a done deal. In meantime, we have to do our best to get clean food and water. Free of harmful metals and chemicals. We also have to come up with ways to protect the human body from harmful electromagnetic waves. This is real stuff folks. Do some research.

And yes, its highly likely that the chemtrails in the sky were the culprits of dousing our planet with these metals that allow satellites and various waves and frequencies to pick up on anything and everything every human being is doing. THIS may very well be what covid-19 is. Man made virus that was created in China and infected the entire globe. Now TPTB are exploiting this and harvesting peoples information from their brain and body.

Contact tracing is here. In full effect. Next up, hacking the human mind with BCI chips and turning ourselves into cyborgs. Elon musk says within a year his neurallink device will be available commercially. He said within 5 years humans won't have to talk to each other and will be able to read each others brains. This is not fantasy land talk either.

Put on your a alum foil hat, at least 3 layer and ground wire (cover mouth and nose). Then a galvanized steel bucket to be extra sure.

Houston area is seeing a jump today. I expect it to get steadily worst since we are open for business and maybe 25% are wearing masks.
