If I was in your shoes I would have for sure saved my brass (the brass from the ammo that was being fired when the gun broke) and I would be taking them to court and making the matter a really BIG pain in their butt.

The spent brass is all the evidence you need that overpressure was NOT the issue that caused the problem.
If this frame breaks as well I will get it fixed and trade it in.

I would have kept the brass if I knew there was a problem. I didnít see the crack until I was cleaning the weapon and the cleaner soaked into the crack making it clear. Being at the range and not reloading for 10mm and not knowing it was a problem I didnít. Tossed the box when done.
