I heard that the FDA passed a new law the other day. Has nothing to do with firearms but it's still ****ed up.

People will celebrate the fact that the legal smoking age is now 21 "for your health", but ignore two things.

1. They just took away another freedom of your adult life.
2. Did I hear that correctly?! The FDA just passed A LAW!! Wtf...
Oh and apparently its effective immediately??

Never heard of such things.
I guess our laws don't mean much if anyone who works for an alphabet agency can make them up as we go.
How do things like this keep happening in everybody's face and what/who can do something about it? I guess if you have enough money u can get heard anywhere, so there's that..

OSHA, the EPA & others do it all the time too. I just wonder if we'll ever get our country back & if so, when and how much blood shed will be involved?

Raise the age to vote and join the military to 21 as well.

I'd like to see voting & booze (now cigs too I guess) changed to 19. I'm fine with guys who are 18 doing a year before any of the other stuff is available. I turned 19 when I was in basic, my kid turned 18 in basic so I think I can relate to serving even if not being allowed to drink. Although for me, I got stationed in Germany when I was 19 & back then the policy was whatever the local state (or countries) laws were was G2G, now it's no drinking period till 21, but if deployed to a mooselimb country, no alcohol at all. Of course, my 19 year old son got deployed to a mooselimb country, but was still getting booze when he had leave & would go off post. Thanks frogs! He also got free drinks on a parade detail after he got home, shortly after he turned 20. Thanks U.S. civilians.

Farmers have had tons of "regulations" dictated to them that are enforced more stringently than most laws. I have groused about that for years.

I need to get on my desk top to read the op. The ATF is not fun but compared to NY, is piece if cake. Between the two, it is enough to make a sane person mad!

Only the ATF could find a way to classify a 5.56 caliber AR as a short barrel shotgun. And do it with a straight face.
