how much of the ammo that the army uses, do they collect and reload themselves?

why would they care that it uses the same case as 762nato?

if anything, same case size is a liability.

i would like to see them have something that hits harder, or shoots flatter. I will also mention that they reinvented the wheel with the .308. Personally I am a .30-06 guy, but there is no question that the .308 was a better round for our troops.

Either way whether they come up with something better or are just ****ing our money away I believe it's a better use of my money than health insurance for illegals.

"6.8 Sherwood has more internal case volume than 7.62mm and other cartridges derived from 7.62mm"

Not a lot of other data out there since it is a "proprietary" cartridge...
Wonder what tweaks to the AR-10 mags will be required if any.

Ok I agree with the above comments. My question relates to in what ways does it truly out preform the .308 and at what ranges. 100-200 fps imo is not enough nor is 4-6in less drop @ 1000yds. that doesn't cut it either.
What will that real G.I. think of it, is it really worth dumping the .308 just cuz ?

Now, as to what it brings extra, not a lot, you can decide...
