Ransomware attack.

BooBoo7

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-...es-real-estate

"As of Wednesday, all real estate transactions have ground to a halt because title insurance companies cannot access city servers to verify properties are free of liens to create a new deed. Those processes have been disrupted by the ransomware attack, according to title insurance companies and real estate agents.

The hack has also affected the city's collection of transfer and property taxes and water bills.

Amy Caplan, the operations manager at Broadview Title, said servers that hold critical real estate data crashed Friday. Then Monday, title companies began issuing notices telling their agents to stop all transactions in the city.

"It's crippling the entire city for sure," Caplan said. "There's just no resolution. It seems like there's no contingency plan in place for Baltimore city."

Mayor Bernard C. "Jack" Young told City Council members Monday that the ransomware paralyzed the city's entire real estate industry"

I'm sure that is all the fault of white male racist police officers too.

If this crippled the EBT card transaction servers - from what I have read and seen on the tele-vision apparatus from time to time about this garden city, it would be Game Over.

Baltimore has the nickname "Mobtown".

http://www.dosomedamage.com/2015/05/...-nickname.html

"For more than a century Baltimore was known throughout the nation under the unsavory name of "Mobtown". The title owed its origin to the speed and frequency with which the citizenry found excuse to riot. The Baltimore tough of the 19th century knew no peer. But there were also times when the best citizens took a conspicuous part in these public disorders. In the early days political feeling ran high and politics often was at the bottom of the trouble. However, when the populace was in the mood for going on a rampage almost any reason would do."

The earliest print reference to the term Mobtown comes from The Baltimore Sun in 1838. The archives only go back to 1837 and the name was already well established by the time it made its first appearance."

^^^ This

They would have had it fixed in 2 days or the city would burn down.

We are always talking about disasters. You could only pray that this happens to several Major Democratic Cities that the EBT system crashed for a minimum of a week or more. Wake those Free Loading Suckers up and make them realize how much on the Slavery Plantation they are on.

I get the risk of ransom-ware, but what I don't understand is why the city doesn't have daily backups of all data. If I can do it, they can. All they have to do is reformat and reload or Ghost the system..

Wouldn’t help.

They’d blame it all on Trump and his Russian mobster hacker buddies, burn the place down, then demand we pay to fix it, while still getting more free stuff.

And our POS “representatives” on both sides of the aisle would be lining up to get their name out front and center on the relief effort, while making it illegal to prosecute anyone for anything in the riots.
