Relax dudemanner. I was making fun of the most dysfunctional family in archery then you. Not many folks follow that stuff any way. Can we get some tutorials and stuff up in here ? Maybe a suggested reading list to ?

Here is a link to a post that should be a sticky rather then thees advertisements from the pages of bow hunting magazines.

https://www.survivalistboards.com/sho...d.php?t=321247

If the OP could post this in the social group called "bowmen of north america" that would be cool.

I am in no way the master of the stickies, that's Kev the owner of this site.

You want to start a sticky of "How to Make a Bow" or "Bow Booklist" the make it up, and report it asking the moderator to make it a sticky, they'll forward it and IF the boss wants to then he will but if he doesn't he won't but I've got SFA to do with it.

The links are there so that you don't have to go and find the damn, effing, things for every new poster that comes along and wants to get a ??? bow...It's a convenience and if you don't like it then bloody well don't use it but insulting it just makes you petty.

Or just start a thread on the Bow Thread that you started and reference it as you would a sticky.

I got a 71" Traditional Hickory Longbow from Ringing Rock Archery that has been good. When i bought it at a yard sale it was brand new but 60# pull and too much for the guy that bought it.(and me)
I go it for $30 and hit my tool box for my wood working tools and now its 45#pull

And WHAT'S wrong with living on the moon?!?! I mean besides the fact that if you shoot the arrow and it goes over your target, you'll probably never see it again..

Do you know of any sites that have advice for making your own bows? I found a 6' piece of pine heartwood to make into a bow and I'm not sure how to shape it. I have tried hardwoods but they all broke my string or the shaft broke as I was drawing back.
