Yeah I finally figured out I had the wrong movie in mind.
What can I say, my memory isnít what it used to be.

That scene really sticks with me though, wouldnít be a pleasant experience thatís for sure. Hereís a couple stills from the movie showing them encasing him in clay with a breathing tube then hoisting him up on a spit to rotate above the fire:

Combat! The ole man said it was the realist thing to being there.

The Rat patrol: Sand buggy's and machine guns, everything a kid would want.

Tour Of duty: (TV show in the 80s) gave me nightmares for years.

Didn't read all the posts to see of FURY was mentioned, but the cold rawness of it stuck in me. Unsympathetic, strong contrasts with where I was before, where I am now, and is there a future.

Can someone advise me some shows or documentaries about the harsh realities in the army? I heard a lot of different rumors about this. Maybe some kind of interview or something. One good friend of mine advised me to use this link and read some papers on this tab and I was very surprised. Are there such orders in the army? It's pretty cruel, how can a person endure such violence? Thanks!

Speaking of Combat! and Rat Patrol they are both on Youtube along with the Twelve OClock High series. I'm watching them now. Oh, and if you search for Combat! be sure to add the exclamation point to the end as I have done.
