With a cold drizzle coming down, I can set by the window and reflect on the last few days' accomplishments. Its too warm for a fire in the woodstove and too cool to work outside and in the workshop.
My new grass is growing with this mild weather. My 200 amp electricity is all hooked up in the shop. I even had a good friend, loan me a welder, to play with. Something he never uses anymore. Wow, been a long time since I've burnt a few rods.
We sold our rabbits, cages, and equipment. Woohoo......no more frozen water bowls and livestock to feed.
My garlic is slowly coming through the mud. The onion seed never sprouted. And I'm watching the birds scout out my bird houses. Guess they are like me, waiting for spring.

WOW.... I've got some strange neighbors. The ones next door, that are hoarders. The house has been needing a new roof for several years, even the previous owner talked about having the shingles replaced. They were curled up like the bark on a shagbark hickory and leaking.
Well, the son tore most of the old shingles off the back, then moved to the front. About midnight, he quit for the day. Friday evening they got the back cleaned off and laid down two rows of tar paper, they quit.
It rained! No one lifted a finger saturday? No paper or tarps installed.
Today is sunday...........heavy rain is in the forecast for tonight and showers tomorrow.
I gave them a shingle shovel, and a magnet sweep to use. And plenty of advice, which they never used.
