There can be racist folks in urban and rural areas alike. The difference in a rural area is things are so spread out you won't share a property line with them or if you do you virtually never have to see them.

We personally have never come across anyone who was racist and have moved rurally (sp) quite a bit.

We're in Central Texas, The Hill Country, it is beautiful and is relatively close to everything (the beach, desert, piney woods, plains, hills and forest, mountains) except snow skiing.

Check this site out for buying land in Texas.

From the article: "While the main focus of the poll was Californians’ frustration with high housing costs—much of which is due to the state’s overbearing regulations—the poll’s other big takeaway was the degree to which California’s increasing ideological dominance by the left is driving conservative dissatisfaction within the state. In this, the poll’s findings are nothing short of astounding—at least for those who haven’t been paying attention."

"Of California voters who identify as very conservative, 46 percent have given serious consideration to leaving the state, with another 28 percent giving relocation some consideration. Of California voters who identify as somewhat conservative, 35 percent have given serious consideration to moving, with another 31 percent saying they’ve given it some consideration. By comparison, only 16 percent of very liberal voters and 11 percent of somewhat liberal voters have given serious consideration to moving out-of-state." (emphasis added)

I left out of Oregon to Idaho 30 years ago for the same reason. I have never once regretted it.

Now I see posts almost daily from my friends still all back in Oregon where they are complaining up a storm about all this Liberal crap going on in Oregon... I keep saying... "no one is forcing you to stay, come to Idaho and join the majority conservative population".

Leave Oregon to slowly be destroyed by the Liberal majority...

We are making our escape plans. We thought last year we'd be in Melbourne Beach, Florida by now but that didn't work out. So, onto Plan B, which we control and will execute this year. Colorado has become a Democrat Disaster.

I can retire in 5 years. I plan to leave soon after. I hear itís an instant raise once you take your pension to another state. Iíve had enough of this place. As beautiful as some of its places are, Iím ready to move on. Too much crime, traffic, taxes, crap politics, and illegals. Iíve had my fill.

I hear ya, normally I'd say what line of work are you in,,, and I'd tell you how that industry is thriving or not here in Texas.

But with the CV, I think you're stuck for a while.

I continue to pray that all the Reds move out of Cali and just leave the Blue's to self manage their own swamp.
