Well let me know if you ever plan on moving to my part of Utah. I'll help you out in any way I can.

And thanks to everyone for all of your comments. Sorry it took so long for me to respond.

One more update:

My branch manager and his wife were both fired on Friday (the 13th). As a result, I was immediately given a $2.00 per hour raise then offered the branch manager position (I sorta knew this was coming). I will remain the driver until we can hire two new workers. Our sales rep will be the interim manager until we get these guys trained. Once I take the manager position, I will get another $3.75 per hour increase but will go from an hourly rate to a set salary. For this area of the state and country, I will be making some really good cash.

Hey Action

I know you said you are interested to stay in town itself. But do you perhaps have opinions on which areas around where you looked have the nicest scenery?

My idea is do get a couple of acres outside a town where I can sit on my porch and enjoy the view.

Thanks

If you look to the east, you see this.

Looking to the west is basin and range, arid scrub.

The cool thing about Cedar is that nice scenery surrounds the town on all sides. I'm personally interested it moving out of town. Although I love the high mountains to the East or Southeast I prefer the rolling hills between Cedar and Enterprise, Utah (as you head west towards Nevada). But I hear that the only access to water is a deep well so I'm going to search around for a better water source. That will likely require that I move further from town than initially anticipated. Nevertheless, those hills are beautiful and covered with cedar (or juniper) trees/shrubs.

Congrats on your success!

Me moving back home (VA) for family reasons has been a challenge. Financially I was better off in Utah. Gun laws were similar, until the occupiers won in Nov. I'll be doing my part out here. Keeping my eyes on the Beehive state, because I truly found a home there. 👍

You might have checked out "General Delivery" at the nearest main Post Office.
It's perfectly legal to receive mail addressed:
John Schmidt
c/o General Delivery
Big City, State, Zip.

Of course, you'll need some ID until the postmaster / staff recognize you.

Another option:
Have mail sent to a friendly local, addressed:
John Schmidt
c/o friend's house and street
Big City, State, Zip

Even if you don't live there, you can get your mail there.

Thanks Eddie. He truly IS!!!

By the way everyone ... I met a fellow board member and survivalist the other day. We had a nice chat over coffee at the local IHOP. Good to know there are some like-minded folks in the area.
