You won't get too aggressive with the rubbing compound, it barely takes off car paint....:D:

I also use it in my walnut media, I get the liquid, put in a squirt maybe 2, cuts down on the dust too...

I think you might need something a little more aggressive than Mothers. Buy some rubbing compound (like for your car at the auto supply)or even some lapping compound.

You can always use a gun mop...

I will say though when shooting magnums out of a single action, barrel length does matter especially when your shooting 300, 310 or 320gr bullets

They don't bite the web of your hand near as hard...
