I doubt most folks want a 1911 for combat operations. You'd want it to have the higher accuracy if used for personal defense, especially in the house, and sacrificing a little reliability is fine...

Damn, didn't know Colt was going downhill. That's a real shame. One of the first "real pistols" (bigger than a 22) was a Colt. It was a long time ago, but I remember it being a damn fine gun.
