Well, We went through another winter and just to report that nothing froze that we had stored in the shelter over the winter. She has worked great over the past years. Also no dampness any where.

I forget what kind of wood he made them from but they aren't that heavy and they are only 5' doors and I used two standard door hinges. they did swell once from a very wet spring where I planed them...

I've been driving the trackor over the shelter since I Built it and no problem. I did add supports inside with 2x4s running up the walls and 4x4s on top just for the piece of mind.

I hauled in about 12 truckloads of sand then dirt to cover but there is probably only a foot to maybe a foot and a half on the very top. No rebar but the bottom now has about 8" of concrete.

We have had a extremely cold fall and winter so far. Last week, days of 24 below and checking on the temps in the tomb show the lowest it ever been, 29 degrees for one day and then went up to 34....
