Dog fighter tied up and tortured by masked men

Heartwarming story for animal lovers, would have been even better if they killed him at the end.

I always thought this would be a fitting ending for Michael Vic, nice to hear it happened in real life.

DETROIT (WJBK) - A Detroit man was tied up, tortured and had his ear cut off. Police say that man was breeding dogs under terrible conditions, and was possibly training them for dog fighting.

The 52-year-old dog breeder was feeding his dogs at one of his Detroit properties on Mackay when he was confronted by three armed men wearing ninja masks. His family says he was forced into the home. They tied him and his two tenants up, then proceeded to torture the dog breeder and demand money.

"My cousin's not a small man, you know what I'm saying. They knew what they were doing," says Marty Johnson, the victim's cousin. "They tied him up; they beat him up pretty bad; broke ribs; broke fingers; stabbed him with ice pics; cut his ear off. It was just messed up."

Police sources tell FOX 2's Taryn Asher they believe the dog breeder was targeted because of his sophisticated and expensive blue pit breeding operation, which they believe is connected to dog fighting.

I love heartwarming stories like this.

If I knew who these vigilantes are, I'd toss them a generous bonus for a job well done!

The only problem with leaving this low-life maggot alive is that he'll go to the ER and the tax payer will pay the bill.

Maybe a second visit is in order.

The guy had to give some reason for the incident, saying they "wanted money" is a great way to take all blame off himself. Sounds like revenge and not robbery IMO.

But yeah, there is a good chance these were thugs from his dog fighting circle however they could be vigilantes.

It does sound like rivals to me. Demanding money (if true) and the idea that they knew what they were doing suggests they've tortured before. Doesn't sound like animals lovers' work.

To borrow a phrase from Hillary.....what difference does it make? I don't care if they are rivals, drug dealers, street thugs, robbers and murders. In this case...they delivered justice! :thumb:

I couldn't care less about their character or moral integrity.
