The Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that {insert new mod to be} was chosen. Then we all get together and repress some peasants.

I'm already a Mod/Admin on another board, make me a mod here and I'll ban every one who doesn't sign up to be a VIP member...don't forget my 25% cut

Serious, I have noticed a growth in the board and believe a few more mods would be nice. As for rules, it seems fine the way it is in my opinion.

What is your definition of "crazies?" Are they just those who simply disagree with you? Are they those who may believe that there is a conspiracy amongst powerful men bent on destroying America (as we know her) and changing her to a territory of a world government? Are they those who are religious folks?

There are some here who may come across as a "troll" now and again but have some really good things to say at other times. The real "trolls" don't last long as the body of forum members usually shoo them out of here in due time.

Stick around for awhile and when you get to 200 or 500 posts you may have a different view of things. When I first joined, I deemed some of the members here as my enemies (Straight Razor, Laser Cool) but now I count them as my brothers who simply have a different point of view.

P.S. I left this forum for a few months because I got angry that the rules were too lax. I went to another forum that is heavily regulated. I hated it. I'm back here to stay.

We don't need more moderators, we need to just be more responsible. Meaning we need to self-regulate what we post, use the report button when we see something, and if you are posting in a thread and others start going off topic just ask them politely to get back on topic or if you are off topic take it to PM and let the thread go back to it's topic, help save the mods some trouble, same with flame wars if you are involved do us all a favor and take it to PM if it does not help the thread at all (rarely does) just self-regulate guys, seriously I bet it would save the mods quite a bit of trouble and let them focus more on Spammers and (real) trolls, and serious violations, flame wars and off topics are things we don't really need someone with a badge to take care off, it's like loitering, you don't need a cop to tell you to move along, just someone open carrying ;]

Great post Jed.

We just need to be a little more responsible. After all, a lot of us are Libertarians! We need to not run to the "Government" to solve all our problems! :rolleyes:

Not arguing with that Bru, just found some of the rules a little silly sometimes.
There are things that get by (flaming, insults and the like) but when you saY fcuk, you get a ban, an acronym which is in full usage about the world, look on any advert advertising French Connection.

We don't ban people because they bypass the word filter, we give them a warning or an infraction. Only if a member does it repeatedly, will the member receive a ban, but not because we choose to ban them, but because they accumulated enough infraction points. (After so-so many infractions, the points add up and an automatic ban takes place.)

Atroll I think is someone who takes delight in the mis-fortune of others and also tends to lurk, comming out only to cause grief and hatred.
Probably wrong but Thats my guess.

It seems to me that the VIP members can get away with more than the rest of us. I would like to see some of the VIP's get what the rest of us would get if we said/did the same things.

Just seems odd to me that some of them can be rude, troll, flame other members etc etc, but they never even get an infraction.
