Ive had these pictures for a while and always loved them. Im not a army person at all so I really admire these guys.

Not sure where really to put this post so sorry if in wrong category.

You were living the dream. Thats like a 4 star hotel right there. Here is the amazing room the Army allowed me to dig all by myself. It was great. I got to spend 16 months living in this amazing place. No internet. No phone calls. Just the constant threat of death. Great.

Landmines. EOD wasnt going to walk up that mountain so we had to sorta dig them out ourselves. The problem was we had been on that hilltop several times. No mines. So i guess they decided to plant them and Yay we found them. It was like an easter egg hunt.

I got to live in an old Republican Guard barracks in Iraq. The air conditioning was so cold that I wore my bear fleece jacket a lot of the time in there, even in the summer.
