Really curious as to who has what radiation monitoring devices. Been searching the net and some places are sold out. A bit early maybe but I guess some folks get scared early. I'm not scared, yet. I do think I need to educate myself a bit more and learn about these measuring devices. I see everything from tiny little eye scopes to WWII surplus stuff to modern looking plastic stuff. Whats good and what works and whats really needed?

I have a CDV700 low range GM and a CDV715 High Range Ion Camber as well as a pocket dosimeter (0-200 mr) and a charger for it. Old but serviceable. TheCDV700 has a probe with a beta window so it can be used as a frisker to check people for contamination. I suggest at least one low range (less than 500 mr in full range lowest setting) that is capable of being used as a frisker and one high range in case TSHTF radiologicaly speaking.

Potassium Iodide is in short supply and in high demand nationwide. You'd be lucky to find it on shelves at your local supplement or natural foods store. And you shouldn't be taking it for more than 10 days because of the megadose iodide OD risk. It's more like something for if you're in proximity of a nuclear attack or large scale nuclear disaster, and only protects the thyroid.

Spirulina, Chlorella, Holy Basil, Resveratrol, and Niacin are all known to protect from radiation exposure (not many people know about these and rush for the KI right away), detox and chelate, and protect cells and DNA from damage. They are superfoods that protects your body against a lot of bad things. A good amount of Vitamin C and D won't hurt either. Kelp supplement tablets have about 150mcg (not the same as mg, you'd have to take several hundred Kelp pills to equal 1 KI pill) of iodide, enough for the daily value requirements. And you can take it for extended periods unless you have an iodide allergy. Start making miso soup (< this is good stuff) more often and eat seaweed (but not Japan imported).

But I don't want to discourage any of you from KI. It's good to have on hand.

So just when should we start partying like there is no tomorrow. I like end of the world parties and don't want to miss out.
Astroglide's good to have. ;)

We have some Iosat Potassium Iodide Tablets in transit that are scheduled to arrive early next week. After we have filled all backorders, a limited quantity of additional tablets will be available. Order today and you’ll be put into the queue for this shipment. We’ll stop taking orders after this shipment is sold out. We do have more on order, but we don’t have a time table for when they will arrive.
