Can you hear me know? New to the board. Married 21 years, no kids. Started simplifying 5 years ago. Sold 2200 sq ft house, now living in 495 sq ft apartment. We could go even smaller. No mortgage, 2 old cars. Freedom. Yes anyone can do it. Just take small steps. Work on it everyday.

PS Living in Brownsville, TX is terrible. Crime, Drug cartels, (I live 3 miles from the boarder) oh yea, and the heat. We have one more year here (contract) then we are moving to the northwest---again.

We came down here to learn sign language (to help out in a local deaf congregation) and planned to be here for 2 years. We have traveled for the past 20 years. Its what we do, we enjoy it. My wife signed a 2 year contract at a hospital. It has been good to be here and learn to see and spot potential bad situations. When we lived in DC we had "eagle" eyes, but nothing on this scale.
