I'm probably way off but as much as I hate scenerios, if I were to guess, our open border is the most likely source of a problem on this scale. 10-7 really woke me up to low tech possibilities. My everyday SHTF, IN Ohio, is everything from mundane things like job issues, injuries, car repairs, medical issues, home or appliance issues up to tornados, severe weather, power outages from ice storms. Mundane issues we had had within the last decade or so, including replacing a stove, the freezer and the fridge within the lastv60 days.
If I were planning for a bad actor, the border would be irresistable to me. Same for foriegn intelligence orgs. I would be scouting and putting togethor action packets, if I was prepping for some near future action or not. If the object was mass casualty like 10-7, on the same casualty ratio, that is well over 100k stateside. That means that everyone on this board, without exception, will be touched. A family member, a co-worker, a personalfriend....killed, hopefully quickly but probably not. This isnt a scenerio, thats a guess, this is a real world potential.
Military bases, infrastructure, high attendance events, domestic radicals, the are plenty of reports in the press. Vulnerabilities have recently been discussed on this site. Eh. I stay strapped alot. When I'm the old guy at the gym, I work out a little longer. I try harder, save more, plan more. My family is on board. I want them to have the tools to protect themselves. We live in strange times, that doesnt mean we can assume anything.
