Your house is made of better materials than most houses in the US. Some have brick facades on the front but less often these days. Most have tar shingle roofs and some kind of exterior siding, often vinyl, over plywood or some such material which is then wrapped in plastic sheeting as a draft seal, before the siding is applied. Very flimsey.

What kind of insulation is there in the walls and attic? It looks like your dacha might also be your future retirement house too? In the States I have noticed that people often either move closer to hospitals as they age or move further away out to the country. Not prying, I'm the same age and making those same decisions right now. Congrats; its a beautiful house and a very nice mix of modern with classic design elements. Very nice!

Vertical boards are usually board and batton. The wood goes on green and as the main boards dry they shrink. The batton or batt goes over top of the joint sealing wind, bugs and critters out. I have done this inside a hunting cottage with 1” thick boards with the batts being another inch thick. Makes things much warmer and quieter.

Your place is looking wonderful and I am jealous.

The work inside the house is also almost ready. The windows are decorated with wood. Now I'm thinking about how to cover the wooden walls inside the house.

I'm looking that this framing and it reminded me of the crating material that contained the pieces to a new parcel sorter. Pointed it out to one of my young engineers that it was the European equivalent to a 2x4. And oddly, the dimensions were very close to a real 2x4.

Stain.... I grew up in a DARK wood stained home, I liked it and it influenced my current decor designs. But my mom always complained, and ended up painting ceilings white, bathrooms off yellow, bedrooms a tan color thing....

Anyway I would recommend going a LIGHT color with some reddish tones, you can always go darker later... To go lighter after the fact is to paint and I fell it ruined the flow and wood of their house back then.
