I'm finding decently priced USGI m1 carbines for sale. They come up for sale almost everyday. There are also parts AR15's for between $600-750 which seems like a fair price; however, for the new gun owner they won't be able to find ammo. That's why I'd suggest the m1 carbine. There was some really great 80's surplus ammo out there earlier this week. I'm sure it's gone now...

What is a good price on the M1? I've always been interested in one, but it is low on the list.

I did just order a stripped lower online that I did not expect to find.

Also it seems Shoot Straight has received some handguns as well.

I'm holding out for a P226 but would also go for the M9/92. Finding a Glock 21 or 41 seems impossible.

I found a P226 locally today.

Got mine in the 60's gave $22.00 from the CMP. Should have bought a bunch. like the Johnson rifles at Monkey ward for $29.95.
That sad thing is that if it were not for liberals we could still have it that good, of course adjusted for inflation.

The entire situation makes me sick even thinking about it along with being disappointed in myself for not purchasing more when the getting was good.

I'll never make that mistake again.

I heard there were barrels of rifles for $15...whether they were mausers, garands or carbines I don't know.

The cheapest I ever got a battle rifle was $79.99...SKS and Mosins. I should have bought crates of them and stashed them. Oh well, I also should have bought bitcoin when I first read about it when it was $.06 each.

No doubt. I'm still amazed that mosins go for $250+

And bitcoin...yeah, definitely missed that boat too. Story of my life.

That's what I saw today, a lady buying a gun but they had no ammo.

Went to the gun show is Lake City last weekend. Lots of stuff, all over priced. Still the little county gun shop, Daddy's in Mayo FL is hard to beat. That shop has good selection and fair prices. When there is ammo on the shelves it is not priced at break the bank levels. Picked up few boxes of shot shells for turkey season and were less than MidwayUSA. Pawn shop in Fanning Spring had some reasonable prices 6.8spc. Bought all of that. The rest of the ammo was fair priced too, just still above what I was willing to spend.
