i just purchased my first ak. 93' norinco mak 90. all the info i have read says the norinco symbol stamped on the receiver is on the side. however mine is stamped on the bottom of the receiver near the gas tube. any ideas on why? or what i have?

The Lavish Norinco logo has been on bottom of receiver there on many variants ( Nothing special , but I sure like it )

I wish you good luck with yours. Mine was a piece of junk- bolt coming off the rails during the cycling stroke.
