Trail Camera Review

I really like the Covert Red Maverick Scouting Camera I did a review on. It certainly gets the job done well and I have had zero problems all season:

two bits I did learn couple things from my trail cam. Turkey flocks segregate in the fall, males flock together and females flock together. I didn't know this. Guess, turkey hunters know this? I am not a turkey enthusiast. Recon this is where the saying, 'Birds of a feather flock together', comes from?

And, do bucks have the same antler characteristic year after year? According to research, they do. Its a genetic thing. Most antlers grow back each year almost the same. The researchers are studying how this is done. Its the only organ grown back from any animal. Can other organs be grown back? Bye this same technique?

panoz77 This is one I just picked up to mount to my connex box, faces a nice deer trail also faces the access road to catch any "illegal trespassing deer hunters". Also bought the 10 gauge steel security box which will all be bolted through my steel shipping container.

two bits My Browning range ops is working great. Its in the woods now. I need to get a viewer but right now I just switch out memory cards.

"update" wow, two weeks, I got 90 pictures. Turkey flocks out the wazoo, does going this way and that way, several bucks...coyote, & even a hunter. Got some great pictures/videos, but can't figure out how to post them.

Rmart30 Picked up a few Moultrie A20i .... day time pictures are ok, the night time pictures are horrible. Grainy and blurry on every cam.
Right now the best "cheap" cam im running is the primos truth cam02.. easy set up and good day and nite pictures.

two bits Well, I finally made a decision and ordered the Browning Range OPS MP8 for my trail camera. I've got it programed and ready to take to the woods. Price paid $82.50

Goblin X anytime John, I usually aint a big supporter of cellphones, but hooking the bushnells in, made it a useful tool, instead of a pia distraction. I just wish tha bushnell's were less exspensive, but they are durable, its going to be buy one at a time and cry once for me.

I'm in the market for the same. My thought was to get one wireless and have several other non wireless to augment my system. The closest sporting goods store to me only has the non-wireless and I think I have a good handle on these systems. Thanks for the tip on the Bushnell system and for the other tips from the posters above. This is why I love these forums.

Maybe I just know how to get mine working

No really I do like wild game cams, took me a few times to get them working like they should since I had a card that was a dud and didn't know it. Mine can sit outside a year before I need to replace the batteries and take more pictures, clearer pictures, then other cameras (tested this with a moultrie game cam right above my main camera)
