Larry_minn My info is dated. Injury parked my bike long ago. If you are talking a mountain bike, dirt trails... There are many options. Many firmer Rail road beds are hiking, non motorized bike,,horse trails in summer, snowmobile in winter.

I used to take classes in Willmar at the community college. From their, to Robins island, diem to Spicer, New London was all tarred bike paths.
Are you talking drive to location, bike the afternoon, day? Or multi day trips camping outside?

rattinox I can sympathize with the work injury! After putting in 30+ years in the aerospace machining industry, there's nothing left of my lower back but funny-looking fused bone chunks no Med student would recognize as vertebrae

The fact is, biking is about the only good way for me to get around without major pain, so I use it like a combination wheel-chair and pickup truck whenever conditions permit. Plenty of decent trails and such in the St Cloud area.

Thanks for the reply!

Mintex This has always been a plan of mine but alas, after a work injury, riding a bike is not going to happen. I first discovered it on YouTube and have found a lot of great tips there. Still a lot of stuff. (YouTube stealth bike camping search)

I'm destine to do hike in stealth camping and plan on going again when (and if) the weather ever warms up!

MN stealth bikepackers

I'm setting up my mountain bike for "stealth" bikepacking this season, and I'd rather get tech advice - and general wisdom - from "my own Tribe" than some mutant Suburbanite SJW from Maple Grove (no offense!)

I haven't been able to find any MN-based MTB forums, just national bikepacking sub-sections from mtbr and suchlike. It's not just strictly tech info I'm looking for, but the bikepacking conditions in central MN in general, especially as it applies to stealth bikepacking.

If anybody can point me toward some MTB forum hosted by "our own Tribe" of Peppers I'd be much indebted; lot of the tech stuff & wisdom I'm looking for could easily save my wretched hide at some point
