led4 Welcome and I look forward to your input.

I mostly lurk unless I have something really constructive (IMO at least ) to add.

If I tell the good guys on a public forum, the bad guys can find it also, sorry. I hope you understand
Yeah, totally. I was thinking much the same, and just barely decided to post the previous comment.

What you're reminding me of that I'm interested in is whatever's cutting edge on the battlefield-- for instance, what might be especially likely to find its way onto our streets in a without-rule-of-law situation, like improvised / homemade tech. I'm thinking of a few different examples I've seen in articles that concerned me a lot.

The last couple decades of war seem to have included a lot of innovation.

Best

Good luck with the zombies

Alaskajohn Welcome to the forum. I look forward to your posts and insights.

I got to serve with some really great British military soldiers when I was assigned at SHAPE. I loved their fondness of darts and a good beer!

Ole Grunt Welcome Dave. Glad to have you here. Looking forward to your input and hopefully learning a few new things from you. There are a few of us here who still enjoy learning and don’t actually know everything already. There are several of course who do in fact know everything. Just ask them, they’ll tell you.

Indeed, as a Father of 3, myself, I know that 'theater of battle' well.. It's a joy, to be sure, but it's a Non-stop effort... Often quip 'Yes, I Am a Soldier as well.. for my Family'...

...Anyhoo, if you Do get those '2 minutes' now and then, perhaps consider a 'Vlog'.. you can still maintain 'OPSEC', by just videoing your voice, and add-in relevant 'stock' video, to provide a visual backdrop, etc.. Why?

..well, there's Lots of peeps out there (and I'd bet, in here..) that are Glad to pay a little for 'seasoned specificity', that is to say, Specific 'modules' of training / how-to's / demos, etc, from someone that's 'Been There / Done That', rather than just putting out 'Game Theory' / being armchair-Quarterbacks, etc.. Lots of Opinion-vlogs out there, relatively-few actual Experience vlogs, choc full of seasoned Experiences..

...Again, I, for one, would Sign up / travel (within the US, I'm practically all over it for my Co's work, as it is.. Last trip driving x Country was 9,600 miles, RT.. in a week 1/2.. for such 'supplantive training'.. Have had Much, as a former EMT / lots of 'seasoned advice' from LEO friends / Mil-medics, etc, but.. One can Never learn enough..

..and the Day a man Stops Learning.. is the Day he begins Dyin'.. and I personally plan to live full to the Last Drop...

Cheers, keep us posted if you decide to do any-such 'vlogs' on yer Site, or even 'Modules', herein.. Again - specificity... Meat / potatoes, not candy bars..

Haha, thankfully nearly 2 decades in the military has helped me develop just that. If I didn't, the bar and crew room would be hell on earth with the banter going back and forth

Take it slow and steady. It's a great forum. Credible experience gradually speaks for itself, but you'll encounter occasional folks who either don't appreciate it, openly doubt it, or just like to argue. Don't take it personally. There's always a much larger audience that tends to read more than they post. They'll appreciate the information sharing.
Why thank you! Truly humbled by your comments.

I know what you mean pickling your liver, the Brits love to show those from the other side of the pond how to drink properly

I am mega impressed with the forum so far, it has a wealth of info. I have already stumbled across several 'characters' already, lol. Live is too short to stress about those that aren't worth the key strokes
