ironically, the game is kind of anti-prepper. they start with nothing, and are capable of getting everything they need by foraging huge rucksacks full of gear and supplies, available in almost every house, garage, or shed

but i get what you mean

Thank you BB, I would never have thought of using that!
Check Lowes, Home-Depot, ACE hardware & the like.
They have all sorts of rake, hoe, shovel handles etc., around $10 per.
Pick the length & weight that suits you.

Stain or paint to suit yourself, add a crutch tip on the business end, drill a hole on the end you hold, for a lanyard.

Simple, easy & quick to do.

bunkerbuster Per ounce price of gold goes over $1800 today.
My little family crew currently mining our placer gold deposit.
We recover between 100 & 125 ounces per week over a 5 month season.
Appears we will gross over two (2) million USD this year.

I think gold could hit $2000 inside this year.

tedlovesjeeps71 Sorry, gotta vent:
Tomorrow I start an army school. Originally it was set for July, then COVID broke out and it got canceled. Then the rumors began floating that the Army was going to offer ďvirtualĒ schools for some things. Sign me up! Schools NCO says ďsorry, your date (the canceled one) is in July so they canít put you in before then. Iím, ok. Then I get a call from him saying all schools are canceled and I wonít restart until next year. What about virtual? Nope, they tried one iteration and want to compile input from cadre and students to see if itís worthwhile.
So a little over a month ago I get told school is back and Iím supposed to keep my original date. Dear lord, make up your minds.
So being older I have to make some ďlifestyleĒ changes when I start looking at official stuff. I increase my workouts and switch to a disgusting diet of apples, watermelon, or celery with peanut butter. Letís me shed those extra lbs I tend to collect while living a regular life. Yeah, I should probably maintain it better but I like food and getting a little fluffy is more enjoyable than when I used to be a slave to the gym and a strict diet. And since our reserve unit has been completely shut down since about February, Iíve been even less disciplined.
Anyhow, suck it up and eat right, train for the schoolhouse. First thing being a PT test and height and weight. It took a lot of effort but I should be able to max (at my age) the PT and I think Iím good on H&W.
My schools NCO is on vacation and I noticed some conflicting info about report time and uniform. I call the school house for clarification and the duty NCO tells me when to be there for in processing. Cool. Uniform? OCPs (camo) umm, what about weigh in and the PT test?
No. Due to the virus the school is online. Youíll come in-process, get issued a computer, and do the school online.

Argh!!!!!
I guess it is what it will be but Iím a little annoyed nobody (especially the schools NCO) was tracking updates. Been busting my butt physically which is fine. Probably needed doiní anyhow. But training/studying for an actual schoolhouse means I can have an idea what Iím getting into. Online..? No idea. And since I donít know anyone who has done it virtually, Iím shooting blind. I hate not being prepared and doing everything I can to perform my best. Sometimes itís unavoidable but this isnít one of those times. And to add insult to injury, I wasted almost $300.00 getting new uniforms and such to look my absolute best in school. Now... Iíll just be an image on a video monitor.
Ugh... oh well. Learn what I can, hope I donít have any technical issues. Add something else to the proverbial toolbox and move on with life.

I think when Iím done I am going to buy the biggest steaks and lobster tails I can find and the wife and I will pig out a little. [emoji41][emoji1303][emoji631]
