Mazarine33 Similar to you calling your husband to tell him to be careful---one day several years ago I woke up with a really bad feeling about one of my drivers picking up a load at the Port that was going to Williston. Just an awful, dread sort of feeling, very strong.

I got up and called him and told him don't bother with that load, it was Jindal (and that place sucked at the time, don't know if it still does or not as I don't broker them now) and that I had a better, local load I really needed done. I didn't!!! But you bet I burned up the phone finding one for him, and thankfully I did.

I never told him I had a horrible feeling something terrible was going to happen to him. But I have absolutely no doubt that if he had gone ahead with that load from Jindal, something would have. And once I called him and Jindal, I had a palpable feeling of relief. The driver had a new baby and had just moved his family into their first real home. I knew I couldn't let him take that load.

And I had a bizarre but pleasant dream last night where I was meeting some of my ancestors. It was bizarre because I've only had one dream where I met a deceased relative who died before I was born and who I had never seen a photo of; one of my great grandfathers. Anyway, this was different. Felt totally different. I was in a sort of hotel (?) with a bunch of people who had died. Walking around, talking, doing normal stuff. I don't know if I was dead too or not. I sat down on a couch to talk to an old man sitting in a chair who introduced himself to me as my mother's _______, I can't remember what he said, though. But my mother's ancestor. And not like great grandfather, but like from 200 or 300 years ago. This guy would have made a great Santa Claus. He was chubby, had long white fluffy hair and a huge white beard and moustache, ruddy nose and cheeks, blue eyes and was quite jolly. He was disabled somehow, like maybe he couldn't walk but I wasn't sure why. He was sitting with his hands folded across his belly and chuckling and talking to me, and he seemed like a really nice old guy. He was dressed in an off-white loose shirt with a drawstring neck, brown pants that looked like wool. Then I woke up.

It was quite a dream, never had one that had that quality of feeling or clarity to it.

So its a jumpy, nervous day and I'm trying to keep busy to work off some energy. I was going to go dancing tonight but I don't much feel like it, so I'll just stay home, maybe the JDS will pass soon.

Plus it's Girlfriend Friday.
2 months ago I sent my husband a text telling him to be especially careful that day (he's a truck driver) because something "felt" off about the day to me.

30 minutes later he started to slide and almost ended up in a wall. He said the message had made him slow down and if I hadn't sent it when I did, he'd have been going faster and not been able to stop the truck from slamming into that wall.

Dreams, intuition, etc. They're all there for a reason. Chances are good that the dream wasn't meant to tell you anything other than "Hi." Lots of cultures believe in ancestral visits.

I know. We live in Texas. If there's ever been land that - at the very least - carries residual energy, it is here.

My daughter and I are both somewhat sensitive to it. Me more than her but only because I've been around it for 37 years vs her 15.

We had an incident a few years ago where in the same day, I caught "skin" of something walking through an empty doorway (meaning I saw and arm or something of that sort) and later that evening she had the full silhouette on her wall. 30 minutes later, my kitchen trash can slammed itself to the ground with no one in the same room.

We were packing to move and who/whatever it was apparently expressed their opinion.

I have an answering machine message on an old digital answer machine from 2009-ish. I refuse to get rid of it. It is my fathers voice saying my name.

My dad died in 2006.

Before she died, I let my mother hear it. Even she confirmed it is his voice.

Mostly things have settled down here. There have been a couple of smaller things - like a pan falling off a very deep shelf with no one near it or things moving on counters by themselves, but for the most part, it leaves us alone.

I haven't read the Koran, but Islam does recognize Jesus as a prophet. I'm not sure how important they view him in their writings.
He's very important, especially his mother who was devoted a whole ayat, that is quite long! it was said there were 124,000 prophets sent through history and he is named and spoken about substantially, considering. Like I responded to him directly, I am happy to have theological discourse through DM. I was raised catholic and was so during that time, though

This happened to me prior to reverting. Now I'm almost certain it was Jinn but they respond in kind to invoking name of Jesus pbh

(But we believe and have high regard for Jesus, peace be upon him, - in fact he's mentioned ~25 times throughout the Quran, very similar to the way Barnabas (a follower of his) describes in his accounts which were stricken at counsel of nicia(sp?) But different thread lol if interested msg me here!)

She said she prayed to Jesus, something I doubt a Muslim would do unless Jesus is their patron saint of anti-demonics.

Prepper_Ed I was in my apartment managers' office the other day and she asked me if I had been hearing any strange sounds at night. I hadn't but the people in the unit above mine had reported hearing "scary" noises late at night that were loud enough to wake them. They seemed to imply it was something supernatural. I don't know the neighbors well but the people above me are from S. America and work for a large consumer products company that sells to WalMart. They are well educated and not the sort of people I would expect to be superstitious.

I was intrigued so that night I dug through some old boxes to find an old sound activated tape recorder I used in college so that I could sleep in class and listen to the lecture later. Then next morning I listened to the recording and it made my blood freeze. There was demonic sounding speech along with strange choking sounds. It was like nothing I had ever heard and there was about an hours worth of audio on the tape. When I listened to it a second and third time the realization hit me that it was actually me snoring and talking in my sleep unintelligibly!

I think I'll keep this information to myself and see what happens.

I tried to scream for "help" but I couldn't speak. I then saw my notepad and pencils slowly move across my night stand until they got to the edge, then as if someone whacked them across the room they went flying across the floor. Then, out of nowhere when I feel like I'm going to pass out the pressure is released and I can move and breathe again. Insanely terrifying experience. This only happened to me while I lived in Japan and hasn't happened in 10 years. Has anyone else ever experienced something like that?
I know it's an old post, but I also had afn experience similar in nature.

I was 24/25 and had stopped by my parents' house after getting off graveyard shift. We spoke longer than expected and I became extremely tired, to the point I did not think it was safe to make the 20 mile ride home.

At my mom's prompting, I went and laid down in my old bedroom. Immediately upon laying down, I noticed a neon green light through the holes in the pleated shades covering the window. I remembered thinking it was strange and decided to turn over so it wouldn't disturb my nap.

No sooner had I turned over that I saw the closet door slowly opening. I grew up there, this door NEVER opened due to any doors opening, a/c nor environmental factors. Then I heard the clickety clack of quadrupedal claws, like a dog's, on the terrazzo... it was coming toward me.

I didn't see anything and didn't want to! I turned again, now on my back and away from the edge of the bed, getting ready to hide under the covers!! That's when I felt the hot breath panting on my neck.

I was paralyzed. It grew worse as I felt one, then two points of pressure on the bed. I could feel the mattress being weighed down away from my arm in 2 distinct depressions. I started to try to yell for my mom but my voice was a tiny cry and immediately cut off from me.

I felt the evil, and I mean real evil, coming off this thing. It was climbing up further, now with 1 "paw" on my chest and trying to force its way into my mind. I was yelling for my mom to no avail and trying to fight it off when I remembered to pray. It was making me forget the words which I've said thousands of times before and no sound was coming out of me. My body was paralyzed as I first tried to pull the covers over my head and then to thrash around - hoping to alert my parents.

It was Jesus's name, peace be upon him, that finally broke the spell of this thing, when I remembered I could pray in my head and be heard! I felt the weight lift as it jumped to the foot of the bed with a p*ssed off snort and the jingle of a pet collar (my parents had no pets)... but it felt easily larger than my 140lb presa canario, as this thing fled from words given by our master, God. My voice was instantly restored along with tears of relief & gratefulness.

It felt as if it were going to either devour or possess me. Not sure what was up with that green light either. Never saw it prior nor since that day. I have several other negative encounter tales from this house, though they are mostly 2nd hand accounts from my old boyfriend, the other personal ones came almost 8 years later after I had children.

Our dog, who is a normally docile pitt, would take off toward the laundry room several times a week sounding like she was going to tear someone apart. We would check and there would be nothing there of course.

We just kinda lived with it just making the assumption that whoever or whatever may have been around was just trying to make itself known.

Around 2 months after it started, one of our teen daughters started having nightmares. At the same time, she began to feel as if someone was watching her at night in her room. One night, she grabs her phone and starts recording the dark room.

What she recorded was a pitch black room with 2 glowing yellow (or green - couldn't tell) and small balls of light. The place the balls of light were was right around her closet doors and dresser. You can clearly see that her closet lights are not on and there was nothing in that area that could have caused them.

2-3 days after that happened with her, I was sitting at my desk working. At the time, I kept a pint sized mason jar full of pens to the left of my laptop. I watched that jar very slowly rotate counter clockwise by itself. It did a full counter clockwise turn then stopped. Right after that happened, my laundry detergent (to my left and within my line of sight if I was sitting at the desk), fell out of the cupboard it is kept in.

At that point, I was growing really tired of things going poof and/or potentially getting broken. I wrapped some white sage to make a smudge stick and smudged the house. I also cleared each room using Palo Santo wood.

Things calmed down pretty quickly after that, but didn't stay that way.

We had around 2 weeks of peace, then my husband had a rather negative experience while he was in the shower. The only other people in the house were me and our two girls, a cat and the dog. The girls were with me in the living room 100% of the time he was in the shower. We were having a conversation that I vividly remember. Neither one even got up to go to the kitchen at the time.

He got out of the shower to find the word Stop written in the steam on the mirror. I am 100% certain he did not write it himself. I heard the tone of his voice when he called for me. I saw the look on his face.

He didn't write it.

At this point, I was pretty much done with it all. Both girls and he were made to wear a medallion of St. Michael. I did a salt blessing with the Prayer of St Michael around the house.

As I was doing the blessing, I told anything here or around that if it was positive it was welcome to stay as long as it did not bother us or scare us anymore. I ordered anything negative to leave.

Things settled down after that for the most part. There IS something still hanging around but it's mild and harmless.

Just last week, I needed to take the kitchen sink apart to fix an issue my girls had done to clog the sink. To do so, I needed to flip the breakers on the disposal and dishwasher. I was standing in my pantry which is off my laundry room at like 2 am looking at the fuse box "map" to find which breakers I had to flip.

I had just started a load of blankets on hot water. My washer and dryer are really new and if you cycle through any of the buttons they play a little song. The only other time - aside from when a button is being pressed - it plays a song is at the end of the cycle to let you know it's done.

As I'm standing there looking at the fuse box door, I hear the washer start singing to me behind me. It took a few seconds for my brain to register that it shouldn't be doing that.

I turned toward the washer and watched the hot/cold water cycle light (there's 6 different temp options) cycle through each one over and over again. It was playing the full song and going through all 6 then restarting.

I calmly walked back to the fuse box, flipped the two breakers I needed, looked at the washer (which was still doing it) and said out loud "Enough please. You're going to wear it out" then walked out of the room and fixed the kitchen sink.

It hasn't done it since.

Hello, I know (from lurking) many here are religious, particularly Christian, so I hope my input won't be flat out rejected with this due to inaccurate representation of my faith.

I am Muslim (which respects Christianity & has shared beliefs & great reverence for the Prophet Jesus peacd be upon him) and it is well documented in authentic hadith that upon death, we await judgement day in our resting place.

That said, I believe it was your uncle and quite possibly his grandson, letting you know they are there and appreciate your gestures and remembrance 😃 If so, they were clearly good people as those who aren't... well I don't want to go there!

Regardless of belief, I'm glad you had that experience

PRO5OHHO I've got what I guess is a mini transformer about 50 feet from my bedroom, looks smaller than other transformers but I'm probably wrong. Once every ~3-6 months it makes a super loud bang sound, usually between 6 - 8 a.m. Scares me and the dogs awake. Sounds like a .357 going off right outside the window. I stumble over and look at it, there's no bad weather, it's not smoking, no one ever shows up to replace it or repair it, I don't lose power. This has been going on for years. I have no clue what's going on. Pinche mini transformer thingy.

BrettTheOkie I don't think this house is "haunted", in the usual sense of the word. However, a few strange things have happened during the 10 years we've lived here.

The main thing I've noticed is every once in a while there will be what I call a "phantom smell". The most recent was that of a candle which had just been blown out, even though no such thing had actually occurred.

There's also one particular room that the dog absolutely refuses to go in to. Or if she does, she will not remain for more than a few moments. Any other room is fine, but not that one.

BirdyB I had another episode of the 'mysterious crashing noise' again last night. This time I may have made a connection between the sounds and something else.

I am developing a theory, but don't yet want to speculate publicly. I want to wait and see, but my theory doesn't involve any external sources of the sound, vibrations and house shaking.

I'll explain later.

PS I changed my user name. Used to be TxHannah.

With all the lights out he again felt something was curling up by his feet, when he reached down he felt nothing! Scared wide awake he turned on the light, grabbed a flashlight on the nightstand and scanned the room. There was no cat to be found.

For reasons beyond me my friend refused to sleep in that room ever again and turned the master bedroom into a storage unit and slept in the guest room instead. One occasion last year on an extended visit I stayed over and decided on a whim to sleep in that room. I slept maybe an hour at most even with a nightlight, if there isn't the feeling of something watching me from the bookshelf then its something tugging my sheets. As far as I'm aware of, his cats live and well, and ****ed someones sleeping in its owners bed.

Personally, if I had a cat like that I don't think I have the heart to move out, might live there permanently
We have a young lady staying with us until she finds a place of her own. She comes up one morning and says a specter was sleeping with her. After a couple of nights she decided it was ghost kitten. Works for me but I hope her casper kitty leaves with her.

Here is my spooky day in my home. Aunt reaches for the front door and comes back with a scratch and dot of blood. Absolutely nothing to produce that and has never happened in over 20 years.

We got into a bit of a religious discussion and I said the old saw that if gods did not exist then man would of created them. The glass front of the kitchen stove exploded. I mean like a rifle shot and glass flung everywhere but nothing bigger than a pea chunk remained. FREAKY!!!!

We all settle down for night night. In bed and hear a loud THUMP THUMP THUMP. Jump up, look around, nothing, back to bed. Again THUMP THUMP THUMP. Everyone got up. This time grab the baseball bat, look all around good, nothing, back to bed. Guess what? THUMP THUMP THUMP. This time I was well Dear Lord I don't care if whatever it is eats me or takes my soul but I got to know what this is. I jump up sudden and open the door and LO AND BEHOLD MY PRAYER IS ANSWERED!!! It is the wife's ratty little yorkie. He had been leaning against the bedroom door and scratching himself and his foot was making the thumping noise echoing in the hallway. He would stopping when he heard me get up but settle back to him flea maintenance regimen once all was settled down. I did sincerely thank Jesus for prayers answered.

One last kinda like the last bit. We , me wife cat, rented an old little house. Me being young hot head and cat being a bonafide ass hole I would get mad and chase him. He would just disappear and later come meowing at the back door. Or sometimes he would be meowing to get in when we were positive he wasn't let out. This went on for a while but once I chased him and he runs into the itty bitty pantry and I am like WAAAAAAA AH HA I GOT YOU NOW!! I look in the pantry and no cat! Investigated and found the floor was rotted and if you stepped on the right spot the floor would dip and then when pressure off snap back into place. The cat has found the perfect hidden escape.

A few weeks ago I was in the shower and had my hair full of shampoo. I made a joke elsewhere on the forum recently about hell never breaking loose until you're in the shower with a head full of shampoo foam. Well, that's because of this incident. I had worked outside all day mowing. Used the push mower for some and the bigger finish mower on the tractor. It was a miserably hot sweaty day. About 4:30 I stopped, done for the day. Left the tractor parked out by the driveway so I could wash it the next day.

Came in and was getting a shower when I heard four extremely loud thumps, each about two seconds apart. As I have tried to describe the volume of these noises before, think 'tree falling on house' or 'someone drove a Freightliner into the house at full speed'. Thunderingly loud. I could feel the bottom of the bathtub vibrate a little with each thump. Scared me so badly I jumped and nearly slipped and fell but caught myself, thank God. I could hear the dogs going insane, barking and racing around the house, frantic and vicious. Even the 9 lb. shih tzu. She wasn't scared and hiding this time. She was showing hackles I didn't know she had.

So I have a head full of foam and I don't even rinse it. I just grab a towel and wrap my head and throw on my robe and go running down the hallway to find---nothing. Which, at this point, is exactly what I thought I'd find. I do the obligatory circuit of looking out all windows and doors and checking each room and of course there's nothing. After about half an hour sitting quietly with three dogs on me, trying to soothe them, I finish my shower.

I went out and went around the perimiter of the house yet again, checked the garage and upstairs again, all around the barn and outbuildings, everything I usually check and of course there is nothing to indicate the source of these sounds.

They seem to come from within the house but I can never pinpoint where. Just not in the room I'm in at the time. They could be coming from outside, but to me it sounds as if it originates inside the house or in the structure itself.

No incidents since. They had been relatively quiet all summer.
You don't have a stone quarry anyplace nearby? I have one and though I can't usually hear their equipment running they occasionally do something that causes an earth-rending crack and rumble and shakes the house very badly.
