BabyBlue | Yes, you may not buy and sell extended capacity magazines in Co. You may continue to own, carry, and use the ones you have, you just can't get rid of them. |

Colorado is going the way of the juvenile-minded, the governmental nannystaters, and the leftist moocher class. Breaks my heart, but it's sadly obvious. Been slowly sliding that way for a while. That area may escape in the short term, but unless you find a good, sane enclave, expect to live in a socialist state before mid-century. I would rather move to the Island than the small mountain town. |

ikean | Yeah, that's what I heard. I was going to go to Walmart in Trinidad after I went shooting at Whittington. I ended up not going because I had high capacity mags in my range bag. I have a 10 round mag I slip into my carry weapon when we go. |

Ah see, you're already familiar. Almost anyplace unattended gets "visited" by neighbors or bears anywhere you go. Excellent locks are your friend. What you need is to peruse the county in question's laws and building codes, and the state laws you may be concerned with. The whole state is pretty much run by the biggest population center, and that's Denver, and they're a bunch of leftist dweebs. They've been trying hard lately to institute gun laws and such. |

ikean | Yeah, that's about like the town I live in in New Mexico. I like Trinidad a lot, kinda want to build a cabin. We go there to go to Walmart every month or so. I'm worried about leaving a cabin unattended during the week.they close Raton pass a lot too, may get caught on the Colorado side occasionally. A bunch of people got stuck on this side Saturday. |

BabyBlue | I'm not really anywhere near there. Closer to Denver, but I've been through there now and then. Nice enough area. Dry. Pretty in it's dry way. More people of Mexican descent, legal or otherwise, and Natives than whites. A lot of poverty on the outskirts of towns. Folks not really getting by. Fairly active grass roots social groups trying to help them out, though. Good people, not radicals. I wouldn't mind living there if the spot was right. Snow gets epic when it swings around the south of the Rockies. |
